1949 Chevrolet Other Pickups -- Additional Info:
This 1949 Chevrolet 3100 is an all-steel body truck that has undergone a high quality full restoration. The vehicle exterior is painted Mariner Blue and has a stunning walnut bed. The truck's laser-straight body shows tremendously well and includes a Fulton sun visor, chrome grill and bumpers, Goodyear wide white wall tires and fog lamps. The fender displays the "3100" model name which was a late-1949 add for light duty Chevy trucks. On the inside, burgundy seating is complimented by a gray dash. The quality of the exterior is matched by the trucks interior, which also offers the comfort of a deluxe heater. Driving perfectly on a 216 cubic inch inline 6, this '49 pickup is not to be missed.
Chevrolet's Advance-Design pickup trucks were the brand's first major redesign after the end of World War II. Chevrolet's intent was to design a more capable truck with a polished look. Starting sales with the 1947 model year, this generation of Chevy trucks held sales leadership in the United States until 1955. With such success, the Advance-Design pickup series would experience little in the way of redesign until the 1953 model year.
