1975 Chevrolet Blazer High Sierra Additional Info:
1975 GMC JIMMY
K5 4x4 HIGH SIERRA
The GMC version of the Chevrolet Blazer this Jimmy requires a full restoration but wow what a ride when you're done. The Jimmy was produced in lower numbers than its Chevy counterpart and this one being a High Sierra with the rare TRAILERING SPECIAL option (see emblem pic) with the factory hitch makes it even more desirable. Remember that in 1975 the ENTIRE fiberglass hard top comes off all the way to the windshield not just to behind your head.
The prior owner had it since the early 1980's and said it was originally all black with wood grain down the sides and a blue interior. There was been one quick respray to red / silver 25-30 years ago.
The rust repair needed is basically limited to the rocker panels and inner lower door sills (leaves collected with the windows down). It's an AZ truck so that's about it other than surface patina rust. There is a bit of fill at the very back of the driver side rear 1/4...it's a very thin skim coat...no holes or rust associated with that. The wheel well lips are SWEET and no rust / rotting in the tailgate area. take a look at the frame...NO rot or flaking ....just light surface rust. For those of you back East or up North the light undercarriage rust from Arizona is a dream to work with...the bolts come out nice an easy for dis-assembly.
There is NO motor included (orig 350) but the rest of the TH350 auto & transfer case drive train are intact (driveshafts in the cab). The correct seats are present (Front & Rear)....basically take a look at the pics to see what's there and what your getting. Fully restored your looking at a $25,000 to $30,000 plus vehicle so this one's worth the effort.
