1949 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3100 Standard Cab Pickup 2-Door Additional Info:
For sale here I have my 1949 Chevrolet 3100 half ton pickup truck that spent the last 20 years or so tore apart in a warehouse just down the road. It is titled as a 1949 3100 and that matches the serial number plate inside the drivers door but the plate has a GVW of 11000 pounds which would make it from a bigger truck. Everything about this truck is half ton from the short bed frame with knee action shocks to the small truck front clip and hood. The truck doesn't have an engine, transmission or radiator. Its also missing the bolt in center floor section, a couple hubcaps and some other small parts. Most of the glass is old and weathered but only the PS windshield is cracked and there's a replacement included for that. The truck has the typical rust in the front floors, lower cowls, and cab corners. As well as some rust in the hood, tailgate, grille and PS front fender. The truck has light dents and damage all around but is still a good builder. The frame is good and solid all around other than the brace that runs from the top to the bottom of the frame rail behind the cab held some dirt and rusted through the brace only. The front clip and bumpers were off when I got it so there's new bolts holding all of that on. The headlight bezels and hood side emblems are just sitting on the truck for pictures. They'll be included in the box of parts. Someone mounted the bed on wood cross sills with nails holding down the metal strips that aren't in terrible shape. The stock seat is just sitting in the truck and the bottom springs are in rough shape. The drivers door and hood open and close like they should but the PS only opens from the inside. A spare exterior handle is included that might help solve that problem. Check out 1949chevrolet3100.shutterfly.com for 100s of photos of every inch of the truck to answer most questions that you may have. The truck rolls and steers for transport but doesn't have any brakes. I have a 118" S10 chassis and several different drivetrain options that could be purchased by the winning bidder for additional money. This truck is selling with no reserve and all bidders are welcome. Thanks and good luck bidding.
