1969 Chevrolet G20 Van 108 Additional Info:
This is a 1969 Chevy extended cargo van with an optional V8 engine and lots of potential. AND it's selling with no reserve to the highest bidder!
I have not tried to get it running, but the engine is not seized and can be rolled over by hand.
There is some rust along the bottom edge (this is Michigan and it is a cargo van) and on the floor of the cargo area, but most of the panels are readily available from a number of sites online.
The van was put on blocks by the original owner in 1987, so the 62000 miles showing on the odometer MIGHT be accurate, but I don't have a paper trail, so I can NOT guarantee it.
I do NOT have a title at this time, but if it sells for $1500 or more, I will acquire a clear MI title for it in my name to sign over to the new owner. If it sells for less than $1500, then we'll consider it a parts car and the new owner can do as they please... (heck, if you know how to get a title, buy it for as a parts car for less and save yourself some money... I'm fine with that).
And, if I get $1500 or more for it, I'll throw in a complimentary previously viewed (1x... by me) copy of the documentary "Vannin'"!
As you might expect with a 48 year old vehicle that has been on blocks for 30 of those years... this vehicle is being sold "As is, where is, with no warranties expressed or implied".
$250 downpayment via paypal, with the balance in secured funds within 7 days, or the downpayment will be forfeited. Please get permission from anyone who you need to get permission from PRIOR to bidding.
When was the last time you saw one of these come across for sale on Ebay (or anywhere else for that matter)... These vans were workhorses that got used and abused and sent to the scrapyard... but this one is straight and ready to be rat-rodded or restored... your choice!
Questions? Please feel free to contact me... (although I will be traveling this week, so ask me before the weekend if you want an answer before the auction ends!
