1961 Chevrolet Apache 10 Panel Delivery Additional Info:
Very clean 1961 Chevrolet Apache Panel Delivery brought to Ohio 5 years ago from Montana. The truck is a true low mileage 22,000 mile truck!
Professionally built and owned.
Great driver that will handle modern highway speeds and deliver excellent fuel mileage and great drive ability. The T5 5 speed gives the 6 cylinder the much needed overdrive gear and the rebuilt stock rear end housing has the gears changed to a perfect driving highway gear(3.37). The truck has no problems flowing with modern traffic speeds. The power brakes are modern discs on dropped spindles The truck has been lowered using dropped spindles and has a great ride height with a slight rake that does not scrape and drag as it is driven!
The body is very clean and is all original GM steel it was built with although the right rear quarter panel appears to have been changed, most likely when it was closer to new because it was a GM replacement full quarter panel. And the only way that can be spotted is the interior side of the panel is still primed instead of painted silver like the rest of the interior.
The interior is still stock paint and has the original 61 Panel seat bases are modified to lower the swap meet front seats (they look like Chrysler seats) that do recline . The cigarette lighter does work (for cell phone charging!)
The truck is wearing its mostly original paint and shows actual minimal weathering and has been touched up and cleared, along with scalloping and pin striping with plenty of space for additional personal touches or even your own business advertising.
A search of Google Images or Bing images will show this actual truck as it was sold in 2013 from the Dry Western sales lot as well as some of the car shows the Panel has been photographed at recently.
This truck never fails to draw a crowd!
Great truck for a Vintage Drag Racing Team or even a Vintage Camper Trailer tow vehicle!
