1986 Chevrolet Blazer Additional Info:

UP FOR AUCTION IS MY 1986 CUCV M1009 MILITARY BLAZER.I HAVE OWNED THIS TRUCK FOR 4 YEARS AND PURCHASED WITH THE INTENT OF CREATING A BULLETPROOF EXPEDITION RIG.I HAVE SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS AND MANY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO GET HER TO WHAT YOU SEE NOW AND IT PAINS ME TO LET HER GO.BUT LIFE HAPPENS. SO LETS GET ON WITH THE LISTS.
FIRST THE THINGS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN DONE:DOGHEAD RELAY, HEADLIGHT HARNESS UPGRADE, DUAL BATTERY TRAY UPGRADE WITH NEW BATTERIES, SCREW ON FUEL FILTER UPGRADE, HELLA H4 HEADLIGHTS WITH HELLA BULBS, CIVILIAN AIR INTAKE AND UNDER HOOD INSULATION TO QUIET DIESEL NOISE, NEW OIL COOLER HOSES, AUXILIARY TRANSMISSION COOLER, SUBURBAN FRONT SEATS (WIDER), CABELLA'S DIGITAL CAMO SEAT COVERS, AMMO CAN CENTER CONSOLE, ALL INTERIOR PANELS DYED BLACK, TILT STEERING COLUMN, INTERMITTENT WIPERS, LECARRA LEATHER STEERING WHEEL, NEW WEATHER SEALS IN FRONT DOORS AND REAR TAILGATE, MILITARY DRIVING LIGHTS, NEW 24V GEAR REDUCTION STARTER, NEW WIPER MOTOR AND WASHER PUMP, GLOW PLUG RELAY MOD AND NEW GLOW PLUG CONTROL CARD AND RELAY, NEW H1 BLACK SEAT BELTS, NEW DOOR STRIKER INSULATORS, NEW FRESH AIR VENTS IN KICK PANELS.
THINGS I KNOW IT NEEDS:HAS FUEL LEAK AT INJECTION PUMP THROTTLE SEALS. COMMON PROBLEM AND CAN BE REPAIRED ON VEHICLE. I CHOSE NOT TO AND WAS EVENTUALLY GOING TO REMOVE PUMP AND HAVE REBUILT DUE TO MILEAGE AND AGE.FUEL GAUGE READS ABOVE FULL AT ALL TIMES. (COMMON FAILURE USUALLY BAD GROUND FOR SENDING UNIT IN TANK AND NEEDS TO BE CLEANED AT FRAME).TOP APPEARS TO HAVE NEVER BEEN OFF AND SEALS WILL LEAK IF LEFT OUT IN A HEAVY RAIN.FRONT MILITARY LIGHTS NEED TO BE WIRED STILL.
THINGS INCLUDED IN THE SALE:ORIGINAL FRONT SEATS IN VERY NICE CONDITION. (ONLY HAVE TO SWAP THE FRAMES BACK IF SOMEONE WANTED THE ORIGINAL RED SEATS BACK IN).ORIGINAL 24V STARTER MOTOR, WOULD MAKE NICE UNIT TO REBUILD AND KEEP FOR SPARE.EXTRA SPIN ON FUEL FILTERS NEW IN THE BOX.REAR BLACK OUT BUMPER LIGHTS (I REMOVED THESE TO SEE IF I COULD FIND AN LED TO FIT IN THEIR PLACE FOR BACK UP LIGHTING).
THIS TRUCK SPENT MOST OF ITS LIFE IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST SO THERE IS NO RUST TO THE BODY OR FRAME! SOME LIGHT SURFACE RUST PRESENT WHERE A LIGHT SANDING AND A RATTLE CAN IS ALL THAT IS REQUIRED.THE ONLY 2 ISSUES ON THE BODY IS IN THE BED SOMEONE AT SOMETIME HAD SOMETHING VERY HEAVY BACK THERE AND IT DENTED THE FLOOR AS WELL AS THE JERRY CAN HOLDER (SEE PHOTO). AND ON THE ROOF OF THE CAB IT APPEARS SOMEONE PUT TOO MUCH WEIGHT UP THERE WHEN INSTALLING ANTENNA MOUNTS? AS THERE ARE TWO DENTS APPROXIMATELY 8 INCHES BACK FROM THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD. OTHER THAN THESE TWO THINGS THE BODY IS ABOUT AS STRAIGHT AS ONE WOULD EXPECT.
AS WITH MOST VEHICLE SALES THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WRITTEN OR IMPLIED. VEHICLE IS SOLD AS IS WHERE IS.BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR VEHICLE PICK UP OR SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS!I WILL TRY AND HELP OUT WITHIN REASON OF COURSE JUST PLEASE ASK AHEAD OF TIME.AND PLEASE AS WITH ALL MY AUCTIONS IF YOU DON'T FIND YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED HERE JUST PLEASE ASK!
