1958 Chevrolet Impala is being offered. This car was originally purchased in 2010 at the McCormick auction in Palm Springs. This car comes with a 348ci V8 and a 2sp automatic transmission. It has not been driven much since the purchase due to personal health issues. It is time for this awesome car to move to a new home to be used and enjoyed
The interior upholstery and carpets of the car were done just prior to its purchase. The interior shows well and the dash is extremely nice. The vintage air keeps the car cool. The stereo system was updated at that time as well. The continental kit is stunning. The fender skirts are in very good condition and round out the look of this stunning car. The stainless trim sets off the overall 50’s look. All of the chrome and ancillary trim are very strong. The wire wheels enhance the overall look. There are many features of this car that remain as “cool” factors of the 50’S.
This is powered by a 348 V8 and is backed up by a Powerglide 2 speed automatic transmission. The odometer shows just shy of 40,000 miles. I am reasonably certain this is not the first time around the clock. I do not have any proof of the actual mileage.
The absolute truth. This is a great driver and was purchased as just that. This has been nicely kept and improved by the previous owner. There are some weak spots in the paint. Those can be repaired. There are some small dents in the SS trim. The interior is very strong as is most of the car. The wire wheels have two different style “knock offs”. This is only noteworthy as an esthetic issue. You can see in the photos that this is not a “restored” vehicle and is not 100% accurate for the year. It IS a great vehicle for those that want a fun car for those weekend cruises and getaways. This is NOT a museum piece. If you wish a fully restored 1958 Impala to a very high standard….. this is NOT your car.
The reserve is appropriately set for all that is offered in this package. This car was appraised in 8-2016 and that information was utilized to set the reserve as well. I recommend any prospective bidder to ask questions if necessary. I can also supply addition photos if possible. I can tailor photos to your needs to reassure that the requested photos are not “canned”. Please do not bid and ask questions at the end of the auction. Please allow at least 24 hours for any requested additional “special” photos.
I am running this auction for a friend and neighbor. My reputation is everything to me. I will not candy coat or embellish information or facts in any way. This is not my personal vehicle. Most people that follow my auctions know that I sell vintage, classic, and antique motorcycles. I have a few GP bikes that will be listed here in the near future.
I believe in and live by full disclosure. I DO NOT believe in “Caveat Emptor” as an excuse by sellers. I DO hold buyers responsible to ask questions and to act responsibly in any purchase. Buyers are the only individuals that have the control over the “bid now” button. Good luck and happy bidding!

The appraisal report noted the car to be in very good and above average, The floors are unmolested and sound. No rust was seen and they support normal age/patina. It was also noted that the 348 is the correct H code 250hp. It was also noted the transmission is the correct 2 speed column shift. The Appraiser quoted"OVERALL CONDITION AND APPEARANCE OF SUBJET VEHICLE IS ABOVE AVERAGE FOR VINTAGE-OLDER PARTIAL RESTORATION AND/OR UPGRADES COMPLETED AS REQUIRED - APPERARS TO HAVE BEEN STORED WELL. EXCELLENT COLLECTORS MODEL THAT WILL CONTINUE TO APPRECIATE IF PRESENT CONDITION IS MAINTAINED OR AS RESTORATION UPGRADES CONTINUE."
