1974 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport Additional Info:

I am selling this 1974 El Camino SS 454 which I bought less than six months ago and which is now up on blocks in storage. I had a job offer in Europe which I took and liked so much I decided to stay. The only reason I'm selling it is because I decided that it would not be practical to bring the car here (to Europe). The car will be available for pick up or inspection the 2nd week of Aug.

I'm the 3rd owner. The car had 86,700 miles on it when I bought it and it has just over 89,000 miles on it now. It drives and handles very well. As can be seen from the engine photos, the AC is not working.

This El Camino is about as good as it gets for 1973-77 El Caminos. Last year for big block, and 4 speed manual. Has its numbers matching engine. Original down to its Muncie shifter. Has a 3.43:1 rear. Muncie trans is a close ratio box. That's the way they came in 1974 and not too many 4 speed cars were built. Something like 4 thousand 454 El Camino Super Sports made in '74.

Non original gauges were installed in the car and they all work. The car runs at 180 deg no matter how hot it is. Always starts quickly (has a new battery) and never stalls out. The tires are very good and the aluminum wheels on the car were only available on 1973 and '74 Chevelle and El Camino Super Sports.

Car has original tonneau cover with snaps and support bars (rare, not many have them).

Any question, please call Phil 850-241-5959 starting Sat July 28th or by e-mail before that.
