1968 Impala SS lowrider with hideaway headlights
This beautiful hidden treasure was my daily driver till my priorities changed and I just couldn't find the time to continue building or driving it.With that said. The car hasbeen sitting in my garage for the past 3yrs not driven but would crank it up every few days to keep the fluids running thru it. Unfortunately I let too much time pass by and my batteries (for the hydraulics) died. I did attempt to charge them but they didn't hold a charge so they would need to be replaced. Because of that, the most recent street photos were taken just before I parked it (3yrs ago).
Ever since then nothing was add or taken away so although dated the photos are accurate. The title is clean (not a salvage). Ive never had an issue with the electrical system ever! This vehicle does come a/c equipt but needs over hauling. The interior is very clean. All the dash components work including the clock! The whole interior compartment is coated with soundproof padding (except the doors.) before new carpet was installed. All the weather stripping, rubber seals, and window felts are new, making the vehicle extremely quiet inside with no rattling, squeaks, or creeks. You could barely hear the motor idling when the windows are up. Engine is a stock 327 w/ 350 transmission .Except for replacing a few parts (listed below) and its never given me any issues. The engine does not shake or rattle and there's barely any vibration (have video) and runs quiet and is solid on the freeway.
There are a few flaws (listed below) but all are minor cosmetics. But time finally caught up to me and my situation has changed so I've made the decision to put it on the market for next Chevy lowrider enthusiast.
This vehicle starts right up and with a couple of fully charged batteries you'll be able to drive it away. Other than that, I would recommend transport by flatbed. This car has always been garaged and covered. You will not be disappointed with this hidden treasure that was put together with love and time. The only thing I'm keeping is my personal plates. Best of luck and I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have.
