You are viewing a very nice 1969 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible. Purchased from the original owner who claims the car has only 19000 original miles (we have no way to verify, but he swears by it). The car still retains its original flat 6 dual carb 110 HP engine as well as its original 4 on the floor manual transmission and independent rear.
The paint has just been done in its original Lemans Blue base/clear with black Rally stripes. The stripes really set this car off against the black top and interior. The car still retains its original interior and everything appears to function as it should. The bumpers look nearly new and the car has a New black convertible top. She's currently wearing a restored set of Keystone Classics with a new set of BFGoodrich T/A Radials (the original wheels with nice radial tires and original hubcaps as well as the spare and jack are included).
This is one of the rarest Chevy's built, 1969 was the last year built (all the bugs were worked out and this car is very safe) with only 6000 total Corvairs built and less than 500 Monza Convertibles. These cars were hand built in their own department at the GM manufacturing plant. VERY RARE!
The car starts with a click of the key and idles nicely. Glass is clear. This is a very well maintained original numbers matching vehicle. These second gen. Corvairs are coming on strong in value and are a great investment. A very reasonable reserve has been set and if it is not met we may send a second chance offer to the high bidder.
