This 1958 Chevrolet Impala represents a highly desirable inaugural model of a one-year design. And this restored coupe has the best of everything from the glossy blue paint, to the custom interior, to the big-block tri-power under the hood.Every time you take this hardtop out in the sunshine it's going to impress you. The Cashmere Blue has a great metallic element that catches your eye (and everyone else's, too!) But it takes more than paint to get it looking so right. Only an investment in the straightest bodywork highlight a sophisticated style that Chevy only offered in 1958. The car is a visual delight with awesome details everywhere you look. Check out the chrome grille that runs from end to end in the front of the lower, wider, longer '58 Chevy. The hardtop styling of the top-of-the-line Impala just looked fast standing still, and you can see how this first-year car really launched the now legendary Impala nameplate. The sides had full-length bright trim, and starting in the rear quarters began an outline that would seamlessly wrap around the taillights for an appearance like tailfins turned on their side a very cool iconic touch. All the brightwork is essential for the '58 Impala's style, and all is present and shining. Even the factory stylized wheel covers and whitewalls are on this one, so you know some real time and money was spent getting this big Chevy right. The custom white interior looks fantastic against the exterior blue. The premium texture of the seats, door panels, and headliner are true signs of a solid investment. So you know this full-size Chevy can carry everyone in distinctive comfort. The dashboard is a big step forward compared to the '57s, and the correct two-spoke jet-age inspired steering wheel is beautifully finished with lots of bright details. The gauges are nicely rendered with crisp numbers on black backgrounds. And while everything looks period-correct right down to the Wonderbar AM radio, there are some nice upgrades. Items like the auxiliary gauge cluster and provisions for air conditioning are thoughtful touches in this classic Chevy. While you'll want to show off the interior and exterior, we bet the engine bay will give you the most pride. 1958 is a very desirable year because it was the first time the big block V8 was available in passenger cars. If you were really lucky, a 348 cubic-inch motor came with the tri-power (triple two-barrel carburetor) you see here. And because this is so desirable, there was plenty spent to give it a fantastic presentation. The bold block lies beneath a ton of shiny components, including the classic-style Edelbrock fined valve covers. The powerful V8 motor made you the king of the streets, and the dual exhaust had the sound to back it up. But beyond just performance, this is a great cruiser with easy driving features like a four-speed automatic 700R4 transmission, power steering, and power brakes. It's the Impala everyone wished they had in '58. So whether you were around back then, or just enjoy the best from the era, this was the full-size Chevy to envy. A well-presented and easy-driving single-year classic like this is a fleeting opportunity, so don't miss out. Call today!!!
