Up for auction is a beautiful 1971 Corvette Coupe. This Vette has been owned and pampered byit's lady owner for 39 years, but now she has decided to sell. All original drive train numbers matching. The engine is the 270 HP - 350 with 8.51 comp ratio. Engine #'s C11S113787 VO219CJL The engine was rebuilt in 1980with 125,000 miles on the car. The car now has 149,055 miles, so the engine only has 24,055 miles on it from 1980. (not driven much in the past years) The oil pressure gauge in the dash is not working right and needs a new copper line ran to it. When the engine was rebuilt they used the plastic line and the mechanic thinks it is plugged. Her mechanic just checked oil pressureand it is at 40 lbs. This car is an original 4 speed car and it shifts very smooth, clutch is good and it drives like a 1971 Corvette with older tires. (fun to drive) The brakes were just looked at and a new rear wheel caliper was installed and other calipers and pads are good.The E brake also works as it should. New PPGpaint was applied in 2003 with 1996corvette colorSilver Beige Metallic. (A very nice paint job) It does have one small nick on top of the drivers side front fender. (please look at pictures closely) The interior is very nice with new carpeting through-out and new seat upholstery.Dash shows very well and everything works as it should. This model has the removable rear window and removable T-Tops and they are in very good condition.The original owner's manual and spare tire in its holder comes with the car but no jack or lug wrench.
