1968 Chevrolet C-10 shortbed Additional Info:
Up for your consideration is this tastefully completed (2015) frame off restoration 1968 Chevy c10 shortbed pickup show truck. This truck began an original 1968 Rust Free California shortbed pickup with a custom factory original grey color as per factory SPID sheet still found on glove-box inner panel (very rare color option). This truck was built as a gift for my mother.
1968 Chevy C 10. This truck was completely restored with the closest attention to detail to preserve its 1968 original presence. All stainless hardware was used throughout the truck as long as it wasn't a suspension or powertrain related.
The frame was completely sandblasted and black powder coated. All bushings, hardware and seals were replaced new.
The factory interior was completely done and the factory bucket buddy seats were reupholstered in leather.
Entire cab was insulated from noise and harsh temperatures with dynamat. Inside of doors are also insulated with dynamat. Factory radio was updated to function as a modern radio AM/ FM auxiliary bluetooth. Vintage Air keeps this luxury cabin cool in the harshest Florida summer heat.
Infrared clear window tint was done to the rear big back window to mitigate heat from entering the cab. All door seals in the window seals were replaced as well as vent windows were completely rebuilt and powder coated.
Suspension: Modern CPP tubular upper and lower control arms as well as Porter Built C10 Frame cross members were used to updated to allow for a conservative lowered stance riding on coils (static drop). The truck wheels were balanced and truck was aligned and drives straight as it should without any shakes or vibrations.
Cragar 17" chrome wheels with custom white wall tires wrapped around them to give it a classic yet aggressive look.
Powerplant: factory numbers matching in-line six motor was completely rebuilt honed, leveled and meticulously re-assembled with all new made in the USA parts. A new 700r automatic transmission with overdrive was perfectly mated to the matching numbers motor. Factory rear end was rebuilt including all seals bearings and new Richmond 3.42 gears, 19 mpg all day.
This truck has all the creature comfort's you would expect in a late model vehicle including power steering with tilt, power brakes A/C, AM/F, auxiliary, Bluetooth radio. You can use your smart phone to play any music you like on the sound system. JL amplifier and JL subwoofer mounted beneath the bucket buddy seats for a custom seamless fit. Completely new Painless Wiring harness system throughout entire truck front to back.
Exterior:
The factory color was color matched and meticulously painted as per factory spec with high end Glasurit paint, clear coated then embellished with the factory 1968 trim. Quality product of Mar-K made in America.
Extras:
Bottom of the cab and all inside of exterior panels were lined with protective black bedliner spray to combat road rash. Factory in-bed spare tire carrier powder coated and placed in original driver-side location. This c10 is highly reliable and can be used as a daily driver. The 4 core aluminum radiator with built-in transmission cooler keeps this truck consistently under 180 degrees even in heavy traffic. ****Show Truck, save time and money, Low miles 1,38, head-turner, turnkey, fuel efficient, enjoy now :) and add it to your collection.
