I have been told the block is a 62 casting, and I have been told that it could be original to the car, and I have been told that it may not be. The casting number is 3788068. Consult with your own experts to make this determination. The intake manifold casting number is 3814881, which I am told is again a 62 casting but was used in 62 through 64. I have added pictures of the carbs, I cant make out the numbers as there are things in the way, but they sure look correct. The front carb does not have a choke. The stamped number on the front of the block is TI208QB, which I am told is a Dual Quad, manual transmission passenger car from 1962 through 1964. The car VIN number is 41447S314594, which I am told the 14 represents Impala SS 2dht. Again, I am no expert, but posting a car on ebay sure will bring the experts out of the woods. These are the numbers, I make no representation to what they mean, only that they are clear and legible. Do your own research. This is a nice looking, nice running and driving genuine Impala SS with a 425 Horsepower Dual Quad 409 4 speed.

The biggest difference between this car and the other SS 409 cars for sale is $20-30k, and this is a 425HP dual Quad, and not a 340HP single carb. This car is priced to sell. I need to pay my plumber and drywaller, and hopefully have a little left to buy some doors and trim, Shop around, this is a deal. How many cars have a hit song written about them?
