The El Camino was designed to do everything well, and so this 1960 Chevrolet El Camino has been restored and updated to continue the tradition in modern times. With its fresh two-tone paint, comfy A/C interior, upgraded V8 (with tow package), and so much more, this is far more than just a car show darling.Chevy's full-size offerings were looking long, lean, and luxurious in 1960. If only got more interesting when applying to a pickup style. The front end was toned down from the outrageous '59s, and so the bright front end has a sleeker look that's amplified further by the re-chromed bumper and jet-inspired fender ornaments. It all looks great set against a fresh coat of turquoise that has an amazing modern clearcoat shine. As you move further down, you notice more great elements like the curved glass for both the front and rear. The tailfins are so massive and integral that they start at the door and don't end until the middle of the tailgate an impressive feat for a pickup! Running the same length as the fin is the cool jet inspired white and chrome trim that's a hallmark of these premium speedy Chevys. This white trim also matches the roof and custom $4K bed cover to create a great two-tone appearance. The interior has been up upgraded to offer modern comfort without losing the vintage feeling. It starts with the nice two-tone bench seat that has a white vinyl for presentation and comfortable teal cloth for where you sit. We love the artful look of the classic thin steering wheel, and it also provides a commanding view of the original pod-style gauge cluster. This is the perfect vehicle for classic cruising, so it comes with great features like power steering and modern R134a air conditioning. And that auxiliary gauge trio is a nice hint that you'll like what's under the hood, too.The small block wasn't up to the legendary 350 displacement in 1960, but it fits in just as easily as the 283 did. In fact, this larger motor is also a new V8 with less than 1,800 miles on it. It has been enhanced even further with upgrades such as a Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. This all means you get a motor that fires up reliably and gives an extra rumble out of the dual exhaust. And the extra power is also a nice feature to have on this El Camino because it wants to fully live up to its pickup potential. That's why it also has a well-concealed tow package and air shocks just imagine showing up to places with a trailer in this classic! But even when it's not towing the toys, you're going to want to drive this Chevy. That's because it's full of great anytime features like the recently rebuilt three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, performance front disc brakes, and new tires on this iconic torque thrust wheels. This El Camino knows how to do it all from impress at the car show to pulling genuine pickup truck duty. And it looks great no matter the task. So if you're ready to be impressive everywhere tomorrow, you need to call today!
