1949 Chevrolet Bagged 3100 with Modern Drive Train
This is one fine 1949 Chevrolet 3100 Rat Rod!!! I will try to hit all the details but if you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Presented to you is a 1949 clear titled custom Chevrolet 3100 on a S10 standard cab frame. The frame had been completely cleaned and painted with NO frame damage or cutting and splicing. Once the frame was detailed a custom mono leaf rear spring was installed with a air bagged sub frame over the factory S10 rear end. Front springs were removed for specific fit bolt in bag kit. Front and rear have new brakes and new front rotors with new brake lines. Brakes are connected to a new modern GM power brake booster and new master cylinder. Power comes from a box stock GM small block 350 with factory intake and 4 barrel carb. Behind the 350 is a great shifting 700R4 automatic transmission. Exhaust flows through custom headers and all new exhaust with Thrush two chamber mufflers (has a very mellow tone and not obnoxious). Up front is a new custom aluminum race radiator and thermostat controlled electric fan (no overheating issues at all). The body is a work of patina art. The 68 year old body was selected for its natural patina and was enhanced to match everything up and flow like you see it. Cab has clear nice glass all the way around with no cracks and all new seals throughout. Windows wind up and down. The truck has new straight running boards with all new custom welded supports. The interior has new floors after the cab was channeled over the frame with custom cab mounts. Sound deadening foil installed throughout and a custom interior shop put modern carpet along with a new black and red upholstered bench seat. New headliner and door panels were also installed. After interior was finished a brand new Vintage Heat/Air setup was installed which works great especially on those hot summer days. Dash was smoothed and painted gloss body color for added detail. Dash has all new Dolphin gauges installed ( speedo was not working this week and will look into it ). All new EZ wiring harness and wiring throughout and all run professionally and tight. Power steering is connected to a GM tilt column with new Grant steering wheel. Few other details are a custom aluminum fuel cell, 5 gallon air tank, twin Viair pumps, and retro 15" Torque Thrust wheels mounted to all new tires. Larry Webb of Gnaw Bone Indiana did the custom patina Indian Motorcycle theme paint job. The talented Tim McComas, of Brushworks in Cincinnati detailed the truck with great pin striping on dash, hood, fenders, tailgate and a few other places. This truck starts great (not cold natured) and runs like a champ with no mechanical issues. A perfect cruiser and a certain attention grabber at any event when you blow the bags and lay the boards on the ground! You can drive this truck anywhere. No expense spared on this build. Please again look at all the pics and feel free to contact me with any questions. Don't miss out on this unique truck and good luck bidding!
After funds clear I will express mail the signed title and release the vehicle for shipment.
