1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Additional Info:
"Unmolested original" '56 Chevy Bel Air Two Door Hardtop located in Westfield NY 14787. Very solid and straight '56 originating from North Dakota. Mostly complete. "Up frame" restoration started. Frame, undercarriage, engine compartment cleaned, prepped, and preserved with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator. I used Eastwood Extreme Chassis Black for frame. "265" V-8 and Powerglide transmission have been cleaned and detailed, but not rebuilt. They were out of the car when I purchased, and haven't been run. With 95,500, rebuild of both is recommended. 50% of glass good. Exceptionally nice stainless with only 3 pieces needing minimal work, and 1 small piece missing. Solid frame, trunk, and floors with exception of 2 front lower floor pans, and 3-4 floor braces. Rockers can probably be saved. Needs sheet metal migged in above headlights, lower corners of both rear fenders, and small area of bottom right front fender. Includes decent original rear left qt piece to replace dented area near gas fill. Has all seats, except front bench portion. With nearly perfect fit of doors, relatively clean frame, mostly good floors, and it's originality, I opted to perform "frame-up" rather than frame off. Unlimited potential for this "Tri-Five" era '56 BA coupe. It's in similar condition as my '57 Bel Air 2 door HT upon it's arrival from Texas in '89. The well-done frame-up restoration has made it a constant show winner, and a very enjoyable classic for cruising. In my opinion, there's much to be said about the potential for an untouched original Tri-Five. They're not always pretty, but have potential to be restored back to their beautiful look of that iconic era. Extensive photos are available that show all aspects of the car and it's components. Clean North Dakota title. I have great love and respect for classic cars. But, I've taken on other projects, and it's time to transfer this '56 to an owner who will give it a good home, and be dedicated to it's full restoration. Car is being sold "as is" with no warranty, written or implied. $500 deposit required, and payment in full within 7 days. Buyer must arrange transportation for vehicle and all components. Engine currently mounted on stand that's included with the car.
