1965 Chevrolet Nova SS Additional Info:

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BELOW DESCRIPTION BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS.
This original factory V8 AC equipped 65 Nova SS with 118 vin code, was purchased new in California. It then became an Arizona car, I believe early in 2016 until I obtained it late in 2016.
This rare Nova is completely rust free and still retains all it's original body panels with no evidence of any body work ever being done. The car's underbody and subframe are also rust and scale free, however, the right rear floor pan has been replaced. It was professionally fit and butt welded into place with a correct fit floor pan to keep everything looking factory. All other pans are solid. The body has been repainted in the original Ermine White, with a better than factory gloss. I would rate it very nice driver quality. The original Aqua color interior has be changed to Red, and is completely new from the carpeting to the headliner, and done using all factory correct type materials and colors. All the dash chrome trim has been replaced. The gauge cluster has also be refurbished. 95% of the rubber weather stripping is new. The chrome, aluminum, and stainless is very nice and seems to be original. I believe all the SS emblems are new. The GM Rallys are 15X7 with 195/60 frt. and 245/60 rr. tires
The engine is a 350 crate unit. I do not know the HP rating, but it runs very strong, and you definitely know it's not the original 283 even though it is configured to look like it did back in 1965. The intake manifold is a vintage Edelbrock Performer with the oil fill tube provision. It also retains the original Nova specific engine oil pan. The carburetor is a 650 Holley. The exhaust system retains the original rare Nova specific cast iron manifolds with 2 1/2" dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, which produce a very throaty tone. The transmission is a turbo 350 with a shift kit that produces a very firm but not harsh shifts.
This Nova is well optioned with the very rare factory in dash tach, PS, PB, AC, padded dash, Soft Ray tinted glass, and day night mirror. The radio is an after market Custom Auto Sound unit. The original front drum brakes have been converted to discs for improved braking performance, and at this time 2" dropped spindles were installed. A new windshield has also been installed, and the rear windshield seal has also been replaced. All the original tinted glass is excellent. The AC blows ice cold.
This car comes with some documentation which includes the original protecto plate card in original owners name, original owners manual, and a sales brochure.
1965 was the first year that the SS Nova had a specific Vin#, and the 65 seems to be the most popular of the first generation cars, and this one is ready, with all the rare and desirable options, for you to drive and enjoy just the way it is. The mechanical modifications done greatly improve all facets of driving performance of this car while keeping the original factory stock appearance, which seems to be quite popular in today's collector and antique car market. Something else that makes this car most desirable, it is an original dry rust and rot free Ca. and Az. car.
