1948 Chevrolet C-10 Additional Info:
WE LOWERED RESERVE!!! Up for auction is a 1948 Chevy 3100 5 window one of a kind. A good friend and client of mine bought this truck two years ago. They are downsizing and moving out of state and have to unfortunately part with their truck. I am new to Ebay, but have A successful Auto restore/repair business for 11 years. I will be listing 2 more vehicles this month, so my integrity, feedback and followers matters very much to me. This being my first... please message me if you any questions at all about this truck. I will tell you that the owner has put a considerable amount of money in this truck, getting it the way he personally wanted it.The whole goal was to have a Rat Rod Truck... but when you open the hood show some old school while showing some bling. I think he has accomplished this. As it gets tons of compliments and head snaps anywhere it goes.Motor, suspension and chassis: When he bought this truck the engine was a little under powered 307ci with vortec heads as well as the exhaust system was dual but not compatible. So we pulled it all out and proceeded to upgrade the truck. The motor is now a freshly rebuilt GM crate four bolt main 350ci bored .30 over, camshaft was custom ground at Oregon Cam Grinders .484/.484 and has a nice little lope to it. The cylinder heads are ported and polished 194s with roller rockers for smoother operation. High volume oil pump, Petronix electronic ignition upgrade, and sitting on top is a brand new Redline Intake Manifold with 4 Weber IDF Carbs, and to let the engine breath is a brand new Flowmaster Exhaust system. 4 core aluminum radiator, electric cooling fan with 190 degree switch. Engine literally only has about 30 miles on it, but might be taking it to a couple of car shows soon. Behind the engine is a Turbo 350 automatic that shifts excellent with a Lokar shifter and throttle cable. The front end is a Mustang II power steering and power disc brake set up and stops great, brake booster and master cylinder are under floorboard. Air ride suspension by AirTech (works great) looks great up or slammed to the ground, original C Notch frame, rear end was nicely installed Posi Chevy 10 Bolt with traction bars (and they are needed), brand new heavy duty battery. And to chill you on a hot day there is a brand new Vintage air unit to cool it down.Interior: New Dolphin Guages and a old school steering wheel that is comfortable for anyone. It has a comfortable bench seat... not sure what its out of... but has been reupholstered along with the door panels. Nothing fancy or plush here it is totally old school except for the a/c. All the glass is good and windows work as they should. The interior has been sound matted also. The wipers do not work, and no radio... Just love to listen to the sound and rumble of that cool new exhaust system...The truck is running on new Ridler 18s on the front and 20s on the rear with brand new Nitto tires... sets a pretty cool stance. The outside is absolute Rat Rod... showing vintage pin striping and rust as well as shop truck lettering. It is all natural with the exception of the clear coat. If your looking for the perfect body... this isn't it... this is Rat Rod! It has a rustic wood bed, that was going to be replaced but there wasn't time, it fits the truck perfectly. There is a brand new old school flush mount filler as well as extra hood hinges to be installed also has the Weber tuning manual and tool with it.The RESERVE is set at the original purchase price from two years ago before doing all of the work, new engine, carbs, exhaust etc. So if you are going to do something... This is a excellent start for you. He runs and drives excellent probably a little more power then needed lol, would not hesitate to drive daily or take on runs. Very fun and always stored inside. Car show season is coming and all of the hard work has been completed.Bid with confidence... contact me if you have ANY questions at all. This is not a perfect truck... but its pretty dang cool... Look at pictures carefully... I am trying to explain everything I can, so if there is something specific you want to see message me... Message me and I will get right back to you. The vehicle title is clear and clean. Thanks everyone as you can tell Spider is a pretty special truck, I have not seen another like it!!! The truck is listed for sale locally and we reserve the right to end auction early if sold!
