This Camaro received a professional frame offrestoration a few years ago and has been driven to car shows on rare occasion. Overall it is in excellent condition and is just as detailed on the underside as what you can see on the top side.It was inspected and certified byJerry MacNeish as an original 1969 X77-Code Camaro Z/28. This car is documented with the original DZ-Code 302 engine, BU-Code rear end, and trim tag, all installed at the factory when the car was built. Jerry inspected the hidden VIN stamping on the car and states that it is indeed visible and factory original. I would consider this 1969 Z/28 Camaro a great value for the asking price when compared to other professionally restoredreal 1969 Z/28 Camaros listed here on ebay that are inspected and documentedwith the original engine installed at the factory. New full quarters were installed and the cowl hood was added when the car was restored. If you are interested in this car I would prefer that you inspect the car with your own eyes to judge if my statements are true and let the car sell it's self so please email or call for an appointment before the end of the auction. I have a lift in my garage so you can look the whole car over from top to bottom.
Decoding of the trim tag indicates the following key details:
X77-D80 Z/28 with no exterior trim and the factory spoiler package
Paint Code 71-71 Le Mans Blue with white stripes
Interior trim code 715 Blue Standard Interior
Build Date 06A June 1969. Most Camaros built at the Norwood plant in the month of June 1969 will have a date code of 06A.
The pad on the front of the engine block is stamped VO604DZ with the VIN stamped on the block by the oil filter.
The 660-case M-21 transmission is stamped P9E19B but Jerry states that it is not original to the car. The BU coded 12-bolt 3.73:1 Posi rear end is original to the car.
The car is equipped with the following factory-available options:
D55 Console
D80 Spoiler Equipment
G80 3.73:1 ratio Posi-traction rear end
J52 Power Front Disc Brakes
M21 Muncie close-ratio 4-speed transmission
N34 Wood steering wheel
U17 Special Instrumentation
U63 AM radio
Z28 Special Performance Package
