1973 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:

For sale is my 1973 Corvette with a 383 Stroker engine.

This was literally my dream car since I was a little kid. I had the opportunity and bought it with my combat pay in 2002. I have owned it and enjoyed it for 15 years. My wife and kids have loved it; lots of great memories. I have put a lot of work and money into this car over the years. However, life happens and priorities change. It is difficult to do, but I have decided that it is time part with the vette.

I purchased this vette in 2002 and have owned it since.

It is always garage kept all year.

It is barely driven in the summer. Maybe 3 to 10 times.

It currently has 30,000 original miles.

It is pretty much stock except for the engine rebuild, 383 Stoker emblems on the hood, and the sunpro gauges.

It is in good and original condition, but not in perfect condition. Some thins are new (some trim, emblems,...), most everything is present. The body and paint are original. Some things are worn with 44 years of use (handles, seats, ...). The major issues are listed below:

The stock urethane nose has cracked and begun to fall apart in the last few years, which is common. It is currently covered with a LeBra. I purchased a fiberglass replacement nose at one time, but was not comfortable with how rigid it was; a bump would crack it. So, I did not install it. I would recommend an OE style plastic/rubber/urethane replacement.

There is a crack in the wind shield. It goes from the bottom to the top on the right side.

There is a dent in the windshield trim on the right side.

There are a few chips and scratches in the paint. A small corner of the hood is chipped, there are 3 small cracks, a scratch behind the right rear wheel, chipped paint on the head lights.

There is a missing interior trim piece under the rear window (which never bothered me)

The interior is tan. The door panels are red, but painted tan. It was like this when I bought it. I was going to repaint them to match the interior, but decided to let the new owner choose what they wanted to do.

I added a steel bar stiffener on the underside of the hood.

The hood prop is not stock.

It runs well. I drove it for an hour today. In my opinion, I feel that it bogs down if the gas pedal is pressed to the floor and the secondaries open up. It may benefit from carburetor tuning or maybe a different carburetor. I have not addressed this as I planned to perform some additional engine rebuild for increased horsepower and address it at that time.

I don't know if it is worth mentioning, but I have a new cam kit and torque converter for it if interested. I planned to replace them this summer for more horsepower; in to the mid 400 hp range. CompCam SK12-246-3 and B&M 20404. $400 worth in parts. They are new, sealed, and unused. If interested, just let me know. Otherwise, I plan to sell them separately after the corvette is sold.

I have done my best to describe everything, good and bad. Please inspect the pictures. Let me know if you have any questions at all. More pictures available upon request; there is a picture limit and I could not take pictures of everything. I have loved owning this car, and I hope someone else will get as much enjoyment from it as I did.
