1975 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Additional Info:
RARE Find, his Original, b>Unmolested 1975 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Convertible in the Rare and desirable "Triple White" (White Top, ody and Interior + WW Tires). This car is NOT Perfect but is as good as it gets for a 41+ year old car. This car looks and drives great and really turns heads. This car drives straight and the brakes do not pull. Everything works including AC, ower Top, S, B, T, emote mirrors, riginal AM/FM radio that works (OK, peaker sucks). Car has some paint bubbling along the very lower body and a small hole on inside of right door post. This car was inspected by a qualified AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) Judge and he says that this car "may qualify" for HPOF (Historic Preservation of Original Features class)? but we cannot guarantee this as we do not know all of the history of this car. I also spoke to several other AACA Judges and they also agree that this car may be entered in the HPOF class but without actually taking it to a National Meet and seeing how it is judged we cannot guarantee it. The rug in the car is good but very faded and needs replacing, e think all of the upholstery is original but again cannot guarantee. Glass is all nice with some very minor scratches on the drivers door window from going up and down. The odometer shows 20,628 miles so we assume by the cars condition both cosmetically and mechanically 120,628 but NO way of really knowing. Engine is the 400 CU IN with a 4 BBL carb. All that we have done to this car is clean it and nothing else. This car is what you see in the photos, e know of nothing mechanical wrong with it and it starts and drives well. Exhaust was replaced a few years back and is still showing no rust. The frame and undercarriage look very good, specially for a vehicle of this age (we are long time AACA members ourselves so although not experts or mechanics we have been around antique cars and car people for many many years). This car shows NO signs of being changed in any way from original except for a alarm system being installed (we do not know how to activate it or if it works?). It also has a broken vacuum pump? that needs replacing under the hood, e think that this was for a cruise control but no cruise control is on the car! Tires and the top are fairly new and the transmission was redone a few years back by the last owner. We hope that this car goes to a new owner who appreciates what this car is and that it is untouched from factory original (no mechanical modifications or anything added to change the looks of anything). Previous owner sold this to us as he was no longer able to drive this car due to age and health.Car can be driven anywhere or you can arrange your own transportation. Starting price is low for a quick sale. Car is located in South Florida and for the past 8+ years has been in indoor storage for 7 months each year. This car was built in the Wilmington, E assembly plant per Vin #. Obviously the car is being sold As Is, here Is. We are a private party and not affiliated with any dealerships or repair garages. Questions, lease Ask.
