1969 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:
1969 Jerry MacNeish Certified Convertible Camaro With Protecto PlateThis is a LA built model that spent its life in CA. This Camaro was and is as solid as they come with all original panels and floor pans as certified by MacNeish. No body sag for this convertible ever. The build date is Dec 1968 so it received one of the last 327 V8 engines which is rare for this model. It is finished in its original color of cortez silver. Equipped nicely with a rare 327 V8, TH350 transmission, power top, power steering, power brakes, and factory tinted glass. This is a numbers matching born with drive train vehicle. Jerry did question the transmission as he said the vin was not stamped on the pan although it is a 1969 TH350 that matches this vehicle. This Camaro went through an eighteen month rotisserie restoration. It was taken to bare metal with every single part being restored, rebuilt, replated, or replaced with the best parts available. All new wiring. All glass panels were replaced with the correct date coded tinted glass. All new brake and gas lines were installed. Ever single brake part is new or restored including the master cylinder and booster. Even the power top motor was rebuilt. All bushings and steering components are new. All window rollers and guides are new and reworked. The exhaust is a complete Gardner system. I cannot stress enough that everything was restored, rebuilt, replated, or replaced with the best parts available. Everything works and drives like new or better. It sets on torque thrust rims wrapped with new BF tires. I have an Eaton posi unit with 3:73 gears in the rear differential as of now but the original carrier and gear goes with the car. There is a security system installed so you can feel secure driving and parking anywhere. The radio is a replica of the original which controls the 10 disc CD changer mounted in the trunk. The Camaro can be viewed by appointment and is stored on a full lift so a thorough inspection can be performed. This is a must see as over $110,000 has been invested in this vehicle. Jerry MacNeish appraised the value of this car at $55,000 in 2011 when muscle car values were at an all time low. You will not find a nicer Camaro. This is definitely a Barrett Jackson quality vehicle. This Camaro is listed locally so this sale can end at anytime.
