1968 Chevrolet Other Pickups Base Additional Info:

Up for sale is a 1968 Chevy K20 4x4 longbed pickup. This is a true 4x4 truck, not a two-wheel drive converted to 4WD. I am selling the truck for an elderly neighbor who has owned the truck for many years. The engine is a 327 V8 with 4spd tranny and rockwell t-case. It has an Edelbrock carb, HEI distributer and dual exhaust. It is unknown if the engine is original to the truck or not. The truck starts right up and drives good but the owner had mentioned that he wanted to replace the clutch (which is included in the sale). It has power steering but no power brakes. The body is really straight with only a few minor dings and rust in the normal areas for this body style. It appears that there was one re-paint many years ago and most of that is faded away. The bed has the original wood slats but they are mostly rotted away. It should be mentioned that the owner replaced the front axle with a Dana 44 w/disc brakes and the rear axle with a GM Corporate 14 bolt. He claims that the gearing is 4.10's. The front drive shaft is not installed but goes with the truck as well as the trim rings for the grill. The windshield washer doesn't work nor does the e-brake and the turn signals worked intermittently. There may be other items that might not work like new but remember, this is almost a 50 year old truck.
* This is a fairly rare truck as it is a true 4x4 and not many of those are still on the road today. With the updraded axles, it is a prime candidate and great start for a restorationon a '68 Chevy truck. Again, I am not the owner but will try to answer any questions you might have. A $500 deposit is due at the end of the auction and truck and title don't leave until funds have cleared. Please only bid if you plan on completing the transaction....EBAY is not a game!
