1971 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:

At NO RESERVE this is your chance to own a 1971 Camaro. It is powered by a V8 5.7 LT1 with 6 speed manual T56 transmission. She is not perfect, but she runs and drives well. I have personally owned this car for about 20 years and it has been garaged for most of that time. I have driven it cross-country from NC to IL 3 times in the last few years. Lights, turn signals, horn and gauges all work. The paint is not new but is presentable; I'd call it a "10 foot" paint job. Minor dings and scratches but no major body damage. There is some rust in several areas, so would guess require fixing in the next few years. Please look at the pictures for details. The drive train is good. I swapped the 350 and TH-350 (both weren't original) for an LT1 and T56 from a 1995 Firebird with ~50,000 miles on it. I have since put maybe 15,000 miles on the car but I'm not 100% sure as I didn't have an electric speedometer until the last few years. Now the current odometer reads 6,397. The engine sounds really good and the transmission shifts well.

This car is still a project like all other classic cars. Here's some key points.
-1971 Camaro with 1995 Firebird fuel injected LT1 5.7L engine and T56 6 Speed manual transmission-Hedman Headers 68609 with custom dual exhaust-New Vintage USA direct fit instrument cluster-Vintage Air Gen-II Compac A/C and heat-Front and back seats reupholstered and cloth in good condition-Floor pans replaced several years ago-Tires still have a good amount of tread-Pioneer radio and Pioner 6X9s.
-The car overheated a couple years ago due to electric fan not working, so the car was taken to the shop and $2K later it has new head gaskets.-The car has a bit of a stiff clutch. When installing the T56, I had to make a master clutch bracket which made the clutch pedal throw less so you have to use more force to push the pedal. Not a big deal, my wife loves driving it. Due to less throw, the neutral safety switch wouldn't work so this car can start while in gear.-The brakes are manual brakes and there is somewhat of a pull when you brake hard. I've jacked the car and the calipers and drums aren't sticking so I'm not sure what it is.-The trunk pan needs replacement due to rust. I sanded, cleaned and painted it but it'll still need to be fixed.-The right door is not from a 71 Camaro as it has a different door handle, not sure on year.-Most body panels have had some amount of plastic filler used-Several panels have rust which I've tried to capture in the photos-The back bumper has some chrome "spider webbing" and a dent as seen in the photos-Again the paint is a "10 foot" paint job car. The nose has 3" spot where the clear coat came off from a power washer, there are spots where touch up paint was used. The driver side sail panel seam area is a bit wavy. And there is rust in several areas.-The wheels need to be re-painted due to surface rust.-The Vintage Air A/C blower motor squeals at times, doesn't work well in low or medium fan setting and doesn't blow out of bottom vents. I'm guessing a new blower motor would fix the fan issues, not sure about the lower vents. Also I found a little bit of thick film on the bottom of the Vintage Air unit. No leaking to the floor. I'm not sure what it is.-The carpet has some fading and deteriorating near the rear seats. -Some surface rust on the bottom of car-Some of the interior parts were originally tan and dyed black. The dash has some waves and the rear sail panels are starting to deteriorate. The center console works alright; has been pieced together with some wood which is not visible.-The front seats were bought on eBay and they claimed from a 71 Camaro but the seat rail holes didn't line up so there are metal brackets to line the holes up. Also, the grip tabs on the latches to lean seats forward are broken, but latches still work.
I'm sure I've forgotten some other things but these were the main things I remember.
