1978 Chevrolet Camaro LT (Luxury Touring) Additional Info:

To start with, et me first say I understand that there is a lot of information in my ad. I also understand that this may be boring to the person who is just looking and not buying. However, or the person who is looking to buy and spend their hard earned money, feel that there is never too much information.

As to myself, am a (66) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, am retired from Managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, lease check out my eBay feedback that has only one negative feedback which I believe I should not have received. I was given the option to refund money to the buyer or he would leave negative feedback and ruin my 100% feedback. I did nothing wrong and always disclose everything in my ads so I declined. He left the one and only negative comment out of (1,142) transactions. Many of my transactions have been muscle cars, hich I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, ngland, rance, witzerland, ustralia and the Netherlands. My reputation for honesty is well known amongst muscle car lovers.

INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ARE WELCOME WITH A DOWN PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL AND THE BALANCE VIA WIRE TRANSFERONLY.

I ALSO HAVE INTERNATIONAL BUYER REFERENCES FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO CHECK.

Some Brief History on the 1978 Camaro:

After two years of watching the Ford Mustang enjoy tremendous success, n September 26, 966, eneral Motors finally launched its entry into the pony car segment, he 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. Although available with a mediocre six cylinder for volume sales, he Camaro could be equipped with several V8s and a myriad of performance options. Chevrolet stated that the "Camaro" was named after the French word for "comrade." The Camaro was available from the start in hardtop coupe and convertible body styles.

Love it or loathe it, he Camaro is one of the most popular muscle cars ever produced. For years, hese cars got more exposure than the gang from Orange County Choppers, ut today it seems they've fallen on hard times, uffering the cost of that 15 minutes of fame Andy Warhol warned everyone about. Be that as it may, hese cars have reached their historical low in terms of pricing. The Camaro represented the best Detroit had to offer in the late 70’s and early 1980s, nd an excellent entry point, iven today's heated muscle car market.

Daring to mess (however lightly) with success,

the Camaro received a facelift in 1978 with a new nose that put the big bumpers under soft plastic with body color urethane front and rears designed to meet the even newer federal safety crash standard.. Five models were now offered (sport coupe, ally Sport, ype-LT (Luxury Touring), ype-LT Rally Sport and Z/28), nd translucent T-tops were a new option. The rear-end was also redesigned with new rear taillights containing three color lenses with the fuel door in the center.

The 1978 Camaro has sleek, risp styling with show-stopping good looks, nmistakable zest for hugging the road and capturing the heart, nd a flair for moving through life with style.

Now for your consideration of this 1978 Camaro LT (Luxury Touring). This is a nice 4-speed street/strip car that you can get in a drive now and absolutely draw a crowd when you crank it up at your local cruise-in. With a rebuilt engine and transmission, s well as a new Holley 800cfm carburetor, nd a killer sound system to boot, ou’re ready to go “as is” or muscle it up for strip use with a roll bar already installed. You decide.

With a super low reserve, his is simply a wicked nice Camaro for the person who pulls the trigger and purchases it.

As with all of the cars that I sell on eBay, he easiest way for a prospective buyer to get a sense for my cars is with photos and a video. Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them and respond ASAP.

Exterior: The LT Camaro should be considered to have a driver quality exterior that does not show any major rust issues but does have areas where the clear coat has peeled. The door handles and the side mirrors are also in good condition. Marker lights, ail lights and bezels are all good with no cracks or pitting noted. All glass is considered to be in good condition with no cracks.

Interior: The LT Camaro interior is in fair condition considering that it has been retrofitted to accommodate a roll bar as well as a monster stereo system. The rear seat has been removed. The door panels are also in good condition but the arm rests have been removed due to the roll bar. The power windows are working properly. The dash has no cracks but does have a small area where warping has occurred.

Engine: The car has been equipped with a strong running 4-bolt main 350ci engine. We have been told by the previous owner that the engine was completely gone through around 3,000 miles ago and have no reason to believe otherwise. A new Holley 800cfm carburetor was recently installed. There are also headers in the place of stock exhaust manifolds. There are no funny noises or annoying exhaust puffing sounds within this Camaro’s engine compartment and the overall look is OK but could use a good detailing.

Transmission: The Camaro was originally equipped with an automatic transmission but has been changed out to a Muncie 4-speed with a reverse lockout installed. There are no leaks or funny noises and the transmission shifts up and down through the gears as it should with no issues.

Rear Axle: The rear axle is a 10-bolt posi unit with a 3.73:1 gear ratio. There are no funny noises, lunking or leaking observed

Electrical: Exterior lights appear to be in good working order to include the headlights, ail lights, unning lights, linkers and the plate light. Gauges are functional to include the 7.000 RPM tachometer. A Sony stereo is installed and there is a massive speaker assortment in the back seat area.

Trunk: The trunk is in good condition but does not have a spare or jack assembly. There is no trunk key mechanism hence a screw driver is need to open the trunk at this time. Aftermarket lock assemblies are readily available at minimal cost.

Mechanical: The power steering and power disc brakes to include the emergency brake work correctly. The suspension is good. The 1978 Camaro LT starts, hifts and drives down the road like it owns it.

Undercarriage: The undercarriage is in good condition showing no visible signs of rust or rot. The Camaro has front and rear stabilizer bars as well as dual exhaust with a crossover pipe. The dual exhaust exits on both sides just forward of the rear wheels. The Camaro is fitted with traction bars as well. Look at the undercarriage photos which will display the undercarriage condition better than any description that I can conger up

.
