1954 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:
Exterior Color: Polo White Interior Color: Red Engine: 235 C.I. 6 cylinder Transmission: Automatic Miles: 76039 This is a very original 1954 Corvette that has only had 3 owners and the second owner was the daughter of the original owner. The car spent most of its life in Washington State however the last owner used the car as a pleasure vehicle in the state of Iowa. The blue flame 6 cylinder engine is original. The pad has the correct F54YG stamping and the cylinder head has the correct 3836241 casting on it. The 3 side draft Carter carburetors are present. 2 of them still have the brass assembly tags attached. This 54 has the early style chromed bullit breather elements. Steel, not reproduction fiberglass, ignition shielding is also present. The only modification in the engine compartment is that the Corvette has been converted to a 12 volt system which for the care taker, who actually drives their cars, is a nice upgrade. The interior is in good condition. About 10 years ago the seats were redone with new foam and new reproduction seat covers. Correct looking reproduction carpet was also installed. All of the factory gauges and radio are present. Additionally the side curtains and their storage pouch are still with the car. A new, correct, tan canvas soft top was installed a few years ago but has very rarely been put up. All of the chrome trim and badges are present and look very good for an unrestored car. The chrome molding around the passenger compartment does have snap bottoms screwed into it as the original owner must have installed a tonneau cover back in the day. Other than the interior and soft top this 1954 Corvette has not been restored but simply well cared for over the years. If you want a show ready trailer queen this is not the car for you but if you are the type of collector who appreciates 62 years of patina, factory originality, and enjoy drivingyour collector car around town this 1954 Corvette deserves your consideration.
