1967 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:
(I was just informed by an Ebayer that the side moldings are after market). "This is a California car and has been its entire life!" This first generation Camaro was built at the Van Nuys plant. This car is 1 of the 4 that were chosen to be used for a huge marketing campaign at Universal Studios in 1967 to be introduced to the world. If you are able to find an old commercial for the introduction of the 1967 Chevy Camaro, chances are very good that it was this car. My clients father was a studio executive at the time and was able to purchase it through GM when filming was wrapped. Since then, the car was passed down to his son who is 75 years old now and is ready to let it go to a good home. The car is completely original! At some point, he remembers his dad having the roof replaced by Chevy and the pin stripes re-done. It has been well taken care of, his dad was in his 60's when he bought the car new. There is less than 130,000 miles on the original motor. (Update - I just got back from seeing the car again and noticed some paint on the Camaro emblem edges on both front quarters and asked about it, and was told that his dad had some dents repaired but not from a collision, he said he remembers something about it happening in a parking lot and will check through the many maintenance records that have been kept for more info. I will keep you updated) Also, the drivers side rear quarter panel just behind the door is ever so slightly pushed in. The only seat with damage that I can see is the drivers side. The seat belts are original, visors, the face plate to the radio is in the glovebox, original antenna, original jack, etc. The car has been garaged its entire life with regular maintenance. It starts, runs and drives like it should. Also, the interior is original, the back seat is in very good condition. I wasn't able to take off the seat covers in the front, though I did lift the drivers side a bit and there is a small tear only in the bottom. I believe even the floor mats are original. I will be going for a ride in this car tomorrow and will try to get the seat covers off and get better photos overall of the car.
I can't imagine opportunities like this come up very often "So get it while you can!"
