1970 Chevy K10 4x4 Pickup

I bought this truck from the original owner’s family. It has lived in the high desert of eastern Washington its whole life. This is a factory 4x4, I bought it when it was still in restoration process, then completed it as you see it now. Truck spent weeks in my shop finishing the restoration and going through everything bumper to bumper to make it as turn-key ready to enjoy and reliable as possible on a vintage vehicle. The body and frame are original to the truck, it was 99% rust free prior to restoration with no body damage. This is a beautiful truck ready to enjoy now, built to be a nice driver.

MECHANICAL

The original 350, TH-350 transmission and 205 gear driven transfer case were all rebuilt at the same time with a few hundred miles on them. The 350 is a nicely built 4 bolt main performance motor in the 350HP range. Simple no fuss additions such as an Edelbrock electric choke carburetor, Edelbrock intake, HEI (electronic) ignition, stepped up hydraulic cam. Ceramic coated headers with the best exhaust and collector gaskets money can buy to avoid leaks to true dual exhaust performance mufflers. Truck has a nice throaty sound without being obnoxious. The TH-350 automatic was rebuilt better than stock with a mild shift kit. The 205 transfer case is the gear driven bullet proof desired unit with 4L N 2H 4H with Warn locking hubs. Quality 4 in lift kit all spring, no blocks for a nice ride. BFG 33in All Terrain tires with excellent tread on aluminum wheels. Power steering and a new radiator. 1970 had drum brakes originally, we converted to power front disc brakes, a must for safety. The entire front and rear axles have been rebuilt. We went through absolutely everything, even down to a working E-Brake.

BODY

This truck was straight and 99% rust free prior to restoration which makes the end result so much better. Cheyenne package paint scheme and trim. The grille, bumpers, all trim, seat, door panels and interior parts are all new reproduction from LMC truck. The paint is base/clear blue/white. The bed in Linexed. Fortunately the stock stereo hole was not cut out, so we installed a Retrosound deck that is modern made to look old with MP3 wire to hook up your iPOD etc. Speakers in the doors with nice covers. Typical speaker covers fall off on these trucks, so we installed better units to stay put. New seals, mirrors, anything that needed replaced was done.

This is a factory 4x4 as evident from the “K” in the VIN#. VERY IMPORTANT as 2wd trucks have different frames and cross members. Factory 4x4 trucks are hard to find in good shape hence all the converted 2wd, most conversions are hack jobs, much better to have an original 4x4 that will also appreciate in value better. I would not be afraid to take this truck to a car show, but it is not a 1000 point show car that won’t be driven. My opinion is if it were any nicer I would not drive it in the rain. I’ve built and sold a lot of these 67-72 4x4 trucks, if you look on my Photobucket library you can see several of them, they sell very well and very fast in this price range. I live in the prime area for these trucks, I buy every good one I can, it is getting harder to find good factory 4x4 trucks every year. I have contacts from my appraisal business all over the dry parts of the NW in search of these. I’ve driven this truck 100 miles at a time on the highway, cruises right along at 70mph with a smile ear to ear. I’m selling the truck as-is, I don’t have the shop time to do additional upgrades, but will assist in giving advice on where and what to get to make it perfect for you. I don’t have any more 4x4’s at the moment, but will be listing a mint restored 68 C10 SWB 2WD Big Block auto trans 5 lug converted hugger orange in the 28-30k range when completed in a couple months.

I have a clean/clear WA state title in hand in my wife’s name. I’m a licensed vintage car appraiser, I work most of the major auctions, I have no offense in you hiring someone like me to inspect this truck for you during not after the auction. I accept bank to bank wire to my US Bank business account, cashier’s check or cash in person within 3 days closed auction. I will deal with a bank loan, but a $2500 non-refundable deposit needs to be made within 24 hours of purchase, additional 2 weeks given for loan check to arrive. Title or truck do not leave my possession until paid in full. I have an excellent shipping broker whom I’ve worked with for years, I will put you in contact with him or work with your shipper. Shipping charges paid by buyer directly to shipping company.
