1984 Chevrolet C-10 Silverado Additional Info:
You will not find a more original, untouched, preserved, time capsuled truck in the SQUARE BODY category anywhere in existence PERIOD.
I bought this truck from the original owner a 78 Year Old Female living in Statesville North Carolina. The truck has NEVER been driven in the rain from the day it rolled of the dealership lot back in 1984. The truck lived its entire life in a Climate Conteolled garage in which the original owner kept 15 of her other all original vehicles.
The truck is 100% Rust Free and 100% dent free. The truck is dressed in its ORIGINAL OEM PAINT in which it shows as if it was manufactured this year!!! The trucks paint will immediately take your breath away. This is ABSOLUTELY what drew me to the truck.
I can say with 100% certainty that this 1984 Chevrolet C10 runs, drives, performs, handles, etc etc etc as if it rolled of the assembly line this year. I can not begin to tell you how much of a blast it is to get in this truck and just DRIVE. The original 305/350 combination on this truck just feels as if were dropped in this year. There is no sluggishness, there is no dead feel on the pedal. This little SWB responds as soon as you press the gas! I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that this truck would drive you in comfort to Alaska and back!!
The truck is equipped with the fully loaded every option equipment group that the Chevy Silverado had to offer. Every box was checked when building this truck. Nothing on the truck works in a lazy fashion. Everything work's as if it were manufactured from the Chevrolet assembly plant this year!!! This is a Matching Numbers Motor and Transmission truck with 93,000 ORIGINAL DOCUMENTED MILES.The original owner passed down a binder full of documentation that has been meticulously take care of. Window Sticker, Owners Manual, Oil Logs, Service Records, Tune Ups Etc Etc Etc.
With Originality being my main focus I was on a mission to create my own little weekend Hot Rod. I went to Cutten Customs with the idea of creating the perfect ride height, perfect handling, perfect practical driving application of a Chevrolet C10. My only rule was to NOT TOUCH THE FRAME. I went as low as you could possibly go without C-notching the Frame or destroying ANY of the factory hardware that came on the truck. The truck sits dropped at a 5-1/2" in the front and 5-15/16" in the back. I get compliments anywhere and everywhere I go in this truck. They absolutey hit the stance of the truck spot on!
Another cool new feature I added to this 1984 Time Capsule is a Brake Booster for a Big Time increase in braking power. I would not feel guilty letting ANYONE get in this thing and DRIVE!!! This trucks just FEELS NEW! The brakes are honestly SUPERB on this classic.
Another cool added bonus to the truck is the vintage air system. Anyone who is familiar with the system knows for certainty that THIS THING ROCKS! I have had the privilege of playing with numerous hot rod's over the years and I can absolutely say this is by far the most comfortable heated and cooled cab on the face of the planet!! This little short box can truly be used as a year round daily dirver if you choose to go that route.
Too sum this truck up I will use one word and one word only. Original. When trying to search for a comparison you will soon realize there is truly not another in this condition. People in 1984 didn't have intentions of holding onto a pickup truck to preserve for later resale. They WORKED these little trucks. They hauled hay, they pulled trailers, they were the 16 year old's first ride that was scratched dinged and dented from sun up to sun down. But not this one. This truck was bought for one thing and one thing only. "TOO SIT INSIDE A GARAGE AND ACCUMULATE VALUE". If your looking for the HOLY GRAIL of a Chevy Short Box look no further.
