1957 Chevrolet Other Pickups Shortbed Additional Info:
You are bidding on a very nice, one of a kind, 1957 Chevy shortbed truck. This truck was a nut and bolt restoration that took several years to do. If you have additional questions or want to take it for a test drive please feel free to contact me. I will do my best to describe the truck inside and out.
Exterior:The Chevy Truck is a beautiful deep dark purple color with lots of pearl. The paint is so deep that you can see your reflection in it. The paint looks great. Thetruck is painted inside and out. Theinside of the cab, doors, jambs, dash and interior are all the same dark purple. Theinside of thebed ispainted to match the rest of the truck. The exhaust system on the truck looks great as well since it wascustom as well. The exhaust comes out justabove the rearbumper and towards the back.
The bed of the truck is pretty special as well. Along withthe beautiful paint job, the bed is custom as well. The chrome strips accent and highlight the depth in the wood quite nicely. The wood in the bed is an exotic wood known as Purple Heart. The wood was customcut and finished toput into the truck. The bed was not cheap and it did cost a lot of money to do. This is one of myfavorite parts about the truck.
Interior:
The interior of the truck as been finished in grey and black highlights. The seat is new along with the rest of the interior. The dash looks great as well as the custom gauges. The glass is all new. The doorglass has been converted to a one piece glass with a nice kit from the Truck Shop. The truck does not have a heater or ac. However, both of those its are very easy to add on if needed. I have been blessed with niceNorth California weather.
Drive-Train:
The engine is acrate motor 400 along with an automatic 400 transmission. The motor and transmissionrun and sound great. The motor puts downenough power to light the tires up and it still runs very cool. The aluminum four core radiator ensure thatthe truckruns nice and cool. The front end is off a ChevyCamaro and the rear-end is a Chevy rear end with 3.73 posi-traction rear-end. The lug bolt pattern is all the same aroundthe truck (5 x 4 3/4). The battery has been relocated to the bottom of the bed of the truck bed. Also the disc brake booster has been relocated to the bottom of the truck on the driver-side. The engine bay is very clean and the wires are hidden.
The truck is currently registered and holds a clean title in my name. If you want to see it or drive itplease feel free to contact me. I do have the truck advertised locally as well. Please feel free to contact me at 916-262-6971.
