Once in a while we get an idea in our heads that we want a restoration project to work on. We look at vehicles on Barrett Jackson and think wow…….I want to do that. Maybe just on weekends we will tinker on it, or maybe it will be a father and son project. But what we fail to realize is the amount of work involved and once we get started we end up with an incomplete project because we run out of funds, time, ambition or all of the above. We are clouded by the end result and have visions of grandeurbut wind up selling what was once a great idea but ended tragically. This 1969 Chevy Truck that is offered here today has all the major restoration done. The vehicle just had over $2600 spent on the drivetrain and countless hours and money was spent on the restoration of the floors and body. What’s left is the weekend projects. With this truck, the finish line is a few weekends away. The bed is wood and can be completed very inexpensively. The engine detail consists of paint cans and some quality time with a son or daughter. Whatever is left is all inexpensive tinkering you will have a blast doing and will find so fulfilling. And when you complete that, you wind up with probably one of the rarest optioned trucks we ever came across. And when investing into a project you look for rare options and cubic inches....this truck has them all!!! Please read on and let us know of any questions you may have.
Exterior:
As you can see from the photos, this truck wears an older restoration. It received all new floors. The body was restored and painted its original color combination. The body, floors and frame are solid and straight and rust free. The front windshield is hazed but the rest of the of glass is in great condition. The rear bed’s wood is rotted out. But a replacement kit can be purchased. The stainless could use some attention. Look at the pictures and video and let us know of any questions you may have.

Drive-Train:
You see a lot of these trucks with the straight six and the 350 V-8. However, what you don’t see a lot are the special ordered 396 cu in. Big Block with FACTORY A/C and power steering. As mentioned earlier, this truck was just refreshed with new brakes, lines, bearings. The carburetor was rebuilt with a new radiator and rebuilt alternator, power steering pump and belts and hoses. It has a new battery as well along with fresh fuel, fuel filters and fuel pump. The truck has tire roasting power and runs great and shifts great. The a/c is not hooked up but comes with components. See attached copy of the receipt for all the work completed. Let us know of any questions you may have. Please see the video and here it run.
Here are some of the RARE items this truck came factory with to set it apart from the rest and to justify when completed you’ll have a rare, restored truck!
