1961 C1 Corvette Convertible
Early Generation Corvette “driver” with removable Hard Top.
This car is told to be originally a California car. The current owner bought it from a Corvette specialty dealer in Tempe AZ in June of 2006. There was no history provided about the previous ownership but the car looked good underneath and drove nicely so he bought it. After the purchase he had the carburetor and the starter rebuilt and replaced the battery cables, spark plugs and wires. Outside of a recent tune up there hasn’t been much needed in the last 5k miles. The odometer reads 35,113 now and was at 30,000 when he purchased the car. It is thought that the 30,000 was more representative of when the restoration was done by a previous owner. The engine is a 350 V8 with nice power but not the original motor.
This car is a fun car to drive and turns heads everywhere it goes. Not a show car but one with good bones, that can be driven and enjoyed. The exterior is Ermine White with a Fawn beige interior. The transmission is a 2 speed Powerglide. The removable hard top fits tight except for a small place at the back where the rubber has aged.
A fun car to own and enjoy as well as a piece of history.
Pre-Purchase inspections are welcomed
