1985 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 3500 Silverado Additional Info:
High option, single rear wheel, one ton pickup truck that I bought off eBay from California ~7 years ago. Pulled the tired Big Block out and installed a New GM 350 Long Block and I've been driving it ever since. I pulled off all the pollution stuff and put headers on the truck. Also have a few performance upgrades under the hood (nothing real spectacular/ see pictures). When I got the truck it didn't have a receiver/hitch or any dents in the bed. The truck had a low quality re-paint job done on it when I got it but all the original sheet metal was there and still intact. I pulled the entire interior out (including door panels, carpeting seat etc.) within two weeks of being in St. Louis and had it rustproofed and undercoated from the windows down. I have been pushing on the cab corners ever since I have owned the truck and early last year the left cab corner gave in (see pictures). I also had it Lin-xed and install a hitch since I was going to use it as my daily driver. I have had the TH400 and the NP205 transfer case rebuilt. The transfer case really just needed new seals as all wear components look as new as the day she was born. AC blows cold and heat blows hot. Truck also has a brand new radiator in it, dual batteries, a 3 inch lift with polyurethane bushings and battery voltage to the rear hitch for trailer accessories. The 3 inch lift is just about right for these vehicles. It allows for a little added clearance but, I can still get in covered parking anywhere in St. Louis. I really like the truck and could probably just leave it in the driveway but I have way to much stuff (boats, 4 wheelers, motorcycles, etc.) and space is getting to be a valuable commodity. This vehicle has never been in an accident and has a clean Car Fax. Mileage changes because I drive this truck now and again.
