1963 Chevrolet Nova SS Additional Info:

This 1963 Chevrolet Nova is a real-deal Super Sport that's fresh off a restoration that not only added a performance-built V8, but also super slick paint and a fresh interior. $50K was invested in components alone, so you already understand the superior level of this classic. The Burnt Orange paint on this pillarless hardtop has so much metallic finish that it even radiates light indoors (so just wait until you see it in the sunshine!) There has been a serious investment in this coupe, and the restoration was only completed a few months ago. That's why the panels line up so nicely, and the even the details still are so crisp like the full-length trim that runs the top of the fenders. The mirror-like chrome bumpers, clear lenses, correct badging, and many of the other striking factory elements are just the product of time and money poured in this coupe. But you also instantly know there were plenty of custom touches to give this an attitude all of its own. The black SS stripes on the cowl induction hood, billet grille, and large 17-inch American Racing alloys all let people know that there has been a solid investment in this classic Chevy. This is a proper code-0437 Super Sport Nova, and so you'll be happy to open the door and see a bucket seat interior with the correct center console. But as you get closer, you can see and feel the difference the recent restoration makes. The seat covers, door panels, headliner, carpeting, and so much more are so fresh that it makes this black interior quite inviting. You sit behind a classic-style three-spoke sports steering wheel with wood grain rim. And all features are within easy reach, including the classic-style AM/FM radio that has a modern digital tuner and provisions for an aux input. But your favorite upgrade will be the full set of Shark gauges. Because you'll love watching them do their dance as you hear the rumble from the monster in the engine bay.The first thing you'll do when you get to every car show or cruise-in is open the hood. That's because this engine bay was built to win awards all on its own. There is nothing but shine in there as the exterior-matching fenders wells and firewall showcase all those polished components like the classic Chevrolet valve covers, bright ram's horn manifolds, and March aluminum pulley system. There's even a polished A/C compressor. You can see it all perfectly because there have been great efforts to hide all the wires and hoses just like car show judges love it. But when you look beyond all the shine, you can see a 327 cubic-inch V8 that's been bored .030 over. This recently rebuilt small block is believed to be a L79 motor, and it has been given go-fast goodies such as an Edelbrock intake, Champion aluminum radiator, and a Quick Fuel Slayer series four-barrel carburetor. This performance V8 is mated to a Powerglide automatic transmission that has been fortified to handle all the extra power. The whole package makes a mighty roar out of the Flowmaster X-pipe dual exhaust. But don't just listen to the rumble; follow its path in the undercarriage photos. There you'll also see great upgrades like the Heidts Mustang II-style independent front suspension that has been painted to match the whole car. There's also power steering, front disc brakes, and a Heidts four-link coilover rear end. This is one of those amazing cars where you can document the whole build. It starts with the dealer invoice, original window sticker, and original photos. Plus, you get build receipts and restoration photos to show how this cool classic became the ultimate street machine.
