Stored & forgotten about for over 30 years. First pics are of the car after cleaning it up.The last 4pics are of the car as found after a very, very long nap. This LS5 Chevelle was put away many years ago with another LS5 in the basement of a local speed shop. The building was actually built around the 2 cars. Over the years both cars got buried in speed equipment, parts & more dust than I have ever seen on a car.
This car was ordered new to race from the well known High performance Chevy dealer ship, Scuncio Chevrolet in Rhode Island, if you are not familiar with them googl, "Scuncio Chevrolet".
1971 Scuncio Chevrolet LS5 Super Sport Chevelle SURVIVOR. Very Well documented originalSurvivor car. Rust free all original GM panels with no patches or repair.This Chevelle was ordered newto Race...with SS, LS5, 454 munci M22 4 speed, bench seat, power steering delete, black on black white stripes. The car has 2 original build sheets, Canadian documentation & some other cool papers like a pit pass from New England dragway, a receipt from an old speed shop & an old news paper that covered a local murder back in the day on the front page.The LS5 454 was removed and replaced with an original 390hp427 way back in the day some time before being stored, unclear just what year the 427was installed but it was early in it's life. The engine has had high performance upgrades that are unclear to me but It is definitely more than 390hp. The car still wears an excellent set of originalbias ply tires with date code stamps still visible. Car runs, drives & looks EXCELLENT!This LS5 Chevellestill has mostly original paint on rust free & patch free original GM sheetmetal. Excellent original interior.
Ordered new at High performance Chevy dealer Scuncio Chevrolet. It was built in Oshawa Ontario Canada & shipped to Scuncio Chevrolet.
Black on Black with white stripes LS5 454 with Muncie M22 Rock Crusher transmission.
The car has 2 original Canadian build sheets and all Canadian built documentation.
This is a rare and desirable Super car that will do nothing but go up in value. Scuncio cars are hard to find.
