1992 Chevrolet Corvette Base Hatchback 2-Door Additional Info:
This is my 40,000 mile 1992 base corvette. I have always been an older Porsche guy, but wanted to try a C4 because they were a favorite of my dads. I bought it at an auction for $6k; put another $7k into it to make everything work and drive reliably on weekends. But I just like driving the 911s better than the Vette. If you've wanted an original C4 Vette, you're just not going to find one better for the money. Some important improvements within the last 2,000 miles:
New TiresNew Optispark (distributor)Replaced catalytic converter for smog in CaliforniaReplaced power seat motorNew alternator
Flaws? There are scratches on the center console and arm rests, driver's floor carpet is worn, door panels have typical loose character (people always pull on the top of these door panels to close the door, which warps them over time--no problems if you just close the door with the handle, as one should). The rest of the interior is remarkable for its age. There's a scratch on the hood--can't see it from 10 feet away, but it's like a small spider web if you get close.
This is a fast car with power everything, everything working (including cold A/C).
I have two tops that come with the car: the plexi glass targa and the sold white one to match the car.
Get this car for a steal--you're not going to find a better C4 for this price with some major typical problems (like the Optispark--$800 repair) already replaced and four brand new tires.
