Seldom do you come across a car that has never been abused, wrecked, or neglected. This is one of those cars that has been well preserved and kept up right throughout the years and shows it once you see and get behind the wheel and drive it. The car is in pristine condition for the age. The condition of the paint and interior is almost unbelievable once you see it in person. Most of the time you will see fading, paint chips, and deterioration not only on the paint but weatherstripping, interior door panels, glass, but not this one. Very impressive and presentable 77 model corvette and that is why I have owned it now twice. I had sold this Corvette back inJuly of2013 and went nearby locally in the KC area and when I sell a car I always tell my customers that if ever they would want to sell a car that they purchased from me to give me a shot back at buying it. And that is what the person did. The previous owner drove the car over the past three years approx. 5,000 miles with no issues and loved the car, but getting older in age and wanting to travel, is why he decided to sell the corvette back tome. That owner is available to discuss the car in detail as well as us with any questions or concerns they may have. Any receipts that have been spent on the car have all been saved and go with the corvette in a portfolio along with the original paperwork including the original warranty book as well.
I will try and explain the car in detail the best I can but you are welcome to give me a call at anytime for further information. The paint on this corvette is original with the exception of the rear original urethane bumper at one time has been repainted. Very good job and not noticeable at all like most you will see. Not even any paint lines between the body of the car and where the bumper bolts up to it. The paint has little to no nicks or chips. Shines very well and looks exceptionally nice for being 39 years old. You do have to realize that the paint process back then is not like what you see on cars today. Back in 1977 there were no types of clear coats like what is on todays production cars. With that said you will see orange peel and some flaws that are factory and not done by a repaint or repair. I have owned several "Survivor" cars like this one and I have to say this is one of the better paint jobs I have seen that is still in great shape. All of the door gaps, hood fitment, and headlight fitment is nice. The doors open and close with ease and all of the window glass fits well around the T-tops. No wind noise as well as I have personally driven this car. All of the trim, emblems, taillights, parking grill assemblies, window glass, are all in very good condition and show hardly no wear at all. The original bumpers, both front and rear, are the urethane ones and have plenty of flex and no cracking.
The interior on this corvette is one of the nicest original ones you will find. No tears, cracks, rips, or age on the dash pad, seats, door panels, and carpeting. The door panels have nocracks where they tend to wear the armrest portion is on them. All of the trim and chrome accents are excellent. The dash pad has no evidence of repairs or cracking. The speaker holes have no been busted through as you will see on most. The console is still nice and fresh along with the original instruments that do work. The original radio is intact and working and the steering wheel leather material is just as fresh as a new one. The carpeting has no tears and is original to the car. No fading as well. Original jack and lug wrench along with the t-top storage bags are still with the car. The seat belts retract like they should and are in excellent condition as well. Only known thing not working is the clock on the car. All other gauges work properly. Dome lights, and even the door buzzer when the key is in the ignition still operates. The car does not have any old car smells as well.
The engine compartment and chassis are very presentable and show well. No undercoating has been done to this corvette. The frame is nice and solid with no rot or rust and no heavy pitting as you will see in many of these models. The frame is nice and smooth. The previous owner did replace the entire exhaust system and decided to run true dual exhaust pipes. The spare tire compartment is still intact with the original wheel and Firestone tire. Even the spare tire lock is still there. The previous owner did remove the rear half shafts and spindles and installed lube adapter to lubricate rear wheel bearings on both sides with High Temperature Grease and all new cotter pins. He also did change the transmission fluids, antifreeze coolant, and regreased all front wheel bearing as well. He also had a compression test done on all cylinders of engine and all were between 160 & 165. New spark plugs installed, new intake manifold gasket and valve cover gaskets as well. This was all done at 38,660 miles and all documented in the portfolio that goes with the car. He did replace all of the brake calipers and master cylinder with stainless steel sleeved ones and did save the original master cylinder that also is included with the sale of the corvette. Fan clutch was also replaced. Recently serviced with Lucas Oil and A/C filter. The car does not run hot at all and all of this was done for more of a piece of mind than rather actually needing it done. He wanted to be able to drive the car anywhere if desired and wanted it to be safe and dependable. Even the air conditioning works well on the car. The tires on the car were replaced with new BF/Goodrich ones when I had the car the first time back in 2013. So they are only three years old and approx. 5,000 miles on them. All look excellent and no wear or uneven places on them. Balanced out well with no shake in the steering wheel nor any vibrations. The wheels are the stock original aluminum ones that were an option in 1977. Anything that has been done to the car is well documented with receipts and notes listing what was done, time that was it was done, and the miles that were on the car at those times. The things that were serviced or done are all routine things that should be done on a low mileage car to keep it up and maintain the car in the same condition for years to come. Ready to show or go!
Documentation that goes with this car includes, original warranty book with all the original owners information and address, original paper envelope that the owners manual came in with the original dealer information in it, original sales brochure, window sticker, both sets of GM keys, copies of previous owner titles and odometer statements on the car, the past two previous owners names and numbers to verify the car, assembly manual, many receipts on service history on this car over the years, owners manual, some of the previous owners original registration information, all that is shown in the photo goes with the sale and there is a lot of documentation. Very well documented car with nice options and features not to mention a good color combination. As they say real Corvette's are Red and the rest are mistakes!

The Corvette was originally sold new on May 18th, 1977 and was delivered to Thomas Vietti from Clinton, Indiana. The original selling dealership was Blanck Chevrolet Inc. and that dealership was located at that time in Brownsburg Indiana.
The VIN # on the car is 1Z37L7S427090
The actual build date of this Corvette was on Thursday March 17th, 1977.
Out of the 49,213 total corvettes built in 1977 only 5,922 had the M20 4-Speed Manual Transmission making this a rare one.
The current mileage on this corvette reads 40,698 and when I sold the car the first time back in July of 2013 the miles then was 35,619.
1977 was a nice year with many upgrades from the previous model and was a last of year of some most noticeable things such as the straight back window glass. 1978 models added the big larger rear windows and to many today the 77 models are a last classic one with that unique rear styling. This was also the last year for the two separate tachometer and speedometer gauges and the last time to see a 160 m.p.h. speedometer. Another last was some of the interior components such as the larger door sill plates, map pocket on the passenger side, and the door panels which resembled the styling back the the early 70's. Some may say they cheapened the door panels in 1978 and newer and added the glovebox door which most do not like. The dash pad was also restyled in 1978 and the 1977 models are more of the classic nostalgia styling. Other things added to 77 models which were improvements were a new steering column that positioned the steering wheel two inches closer to the instrument panel to provide more of an "arms out" driving position, and easier entry and exit of the corvette. A new console held heater and air conditioning controls and accepted standard Delco radios due to its increased depth. A new steering wheel that was leather wrapped was first introduced. A luggage rack was a first time factory option and not dealer installed like the previous years and was designed to hold the T-Top Roof Panels with unique brackets to provide more storage space behind the seats. Leather seats became standard equipment. The headlight dimmer and windshield wiper/washer controls were located on steering column stalks. Sunshades were redesigned to permit swinging to the side windows. The interior rearview mounting point was located from above the windshield to the windshield itself. The trim around the windshield was a non-glare painted finish instead of the shiny stainless as the previous years. Between August 23 and September 7, 1976, Flint Engine changed from orange paint to blue for Corvette engines. Thus, early production engines were painted orange like the previous years and the later production ones were all blue engines. This was also the last year for the alarm activator to be located on the drivers-side fender as this was moved to the drivers-side door lock in late 1977 production.
