In 1957 Chevrolet hit the mark with the restyled 150/210/Bel Air series of cars. The iconic styling that looked great at the stock car tracks while NASCAR was just getting its feet wet, to hauling groceries or the family to Sunday services.
There's not a kid or parent who didn't dream while sitting behind and staring down the sites of those massive guns out on the hood cruising down the interstate.Rata-tat-tat, KaBOOM!! SEEYA'.Then blasting through that cloud of smoke where there used to be an enemy of the world reduced to shrapnel and dust! Try THAT in a Camry!
The cost of a Nomad, in ridiculous condition, is still twice the cost of this Sedan Delivery. Which is creating more and more demand for these gorgeous "Sleepers".
After all they're the same car from the doors forward. The only difference being is the raked B & C pillars.
This Sedan Delivery does it with an unmolested GM Crate 350 SB, Muncie M22 RC 4 Speed, Dual Exhausts and fat BF Goodrich T/A Radials all around.
With proper GM components mated to off the shelf trans and rear this is a completely reliable driver or cruiser.
Disc brakes and modern interior comforts down to the remote controlled stereo and dual rearview mirrors keep this monster in check.
It does not currently have power steering or AC. Both are available from quality vendors at a cost of less than $2k.
A little cosmetic work is all that's required to make this a show stopper.
Why are we selling the car? Fair question. You'll notice from the pics that our business is classic/exotic auto storage. We bought the car to bring our displays to the car shows to promote our business. But the displays grew larger than the car and it was sitting idle more than being driven. In the past two years the car hasn't gotten more than 300 miles put on it. So it's time to pass it to the next lucky owner who will enjoy it and take it to the next level.

For those bidding and those watching we just wanted to say to keep bidding. The reserve is not terribly far away, and this is a motivated seller. This car is being sold for the simple reson that it isn't being driven enough and we'd rather part with it than allow it to sit. And it's taking up room that is needed. If you'd like to make an unsolicited offer you are free to do so. it's my understanding that eBay policy does not permit the seller to divulge the reserve price.
