1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4X4 CST/Cheyenne
Thought I had this rig sold last week, Had a guy fly out from California and inspect and drive the Blazer. Needless to say he was more then pleased with the condition and how well the old rig ran and drove. We made a deal and he left a deposit . Well I guess life got in the way for him and was not able to complete the transaction. So that being said I apologizeto all the potential buyers who messaged me and I did not get back with.So here is your chance to own this great example of a survivor 1972 K5 !!I have lowered the reserve and the buy now in hopes of selling it this time around, Please don't hesitate to call with any questions, photos or to set up a time to view the vehicle!!My phone number is listed below.
Up for auction is this extremely rare example of a survivor 1972 K5!! Very hard to find in this condition and with these options. As most of you know finding these first generation K5's that have not been converted to 2wd or offroad use is nearly impossible these days. Not to mention most of them are just rusted to death. I believe this K5 has only had 3or4 owners its entirelife. It was bought new at Boise Chevrolet and I still have the protecto plate/warranty card as well as owners manual and misc paperwork. I purchased this rig out of dry eastern Washington were there is little rain and moisture not to mentionthat it was stored in a dry garage. This K5 is equippedwith a strong 350sbc with a 4bbl and a HEI distributor for a more reliable ignitionsystem compared to the factory points ignition. Behind the 350 is a rebuilt TH350 automatic that has been rebuilt with a shift kit . The transfer casehas been inspected and re-sealed. The front and rear end have been completelyrebuilt with Yukon 3.73 gears and posi. Rear drive linewas rebuilt and balanced. Front drive lineis stock. Has a 4inch lift kit with all new shocks. Newer 2inch full exhaust with turbo mufflers. This rig runs and drives extremelywell with no weird noise or smoke, good oil pressureand nice firm shifting transmission. Also has practicallybrand new 33,12.5.15 BFG Mud terraintires with polishedMickeyThompson wheels. The frame and running gear are all clean and detailed. All suspension componentsare either new or rebuilt including a new Redhead quick ratio steering box. The K5 drives really nice! Most of these ride like a horse drawn wagon and wonder all over the road! Not this one! I drive it everywherewith no issues at all. Now for the body! The paint is around 90-95% original with the much desired original patina. There are spots on the rockers and toward the back drivers quarter panel that have been sprayed in. Colors don't match wel, but hey there is no bondo and the rockers and rocker boxes have been replaced. The paint has been buffed to death over the years and shows some scratches and blems here and there from 40+yrs of use. But over all cleans up nice and still hold somewhatof a shine! I get compliments all the time. Its one of those things were you could drive it as is and preservethe originality of the rig or go the extra mile and repaint it and have a show rig?? Your choice. I have debated it for a while now but I have another 72 K5 that is getting a frame off restoration right now so funds are diverted that way. The floor pan, kick panels, rockers, tailgate, fenders, doors, windshield frame and so on are all 100% rust free. The only spot of rust is on the passenger side inside fender well under the battery box. Very common area for all 67-72 Chevy trucks and blazers. Its a easy fix that requires no fab work but I have not wanted to take it apart. Check out all the pics for detail. Now for the interior. This K5 came equippedwith the Cheyenne package . It sports the original saddle interior with front buckets, console and rear seat. The seats are all original and have a few separationsand blems but overall in great shape for 40+ years old!! Has all original seat beltsand door panels as well as the saddle scroll rear panels. The carpet was replaced some years ago and shows some sun fading but still holds up well. Also this rig came from the factory with A/C that is completelyfunctional and blows cold, Tilt steering columnas well as a tach dash with all gaugesexcept for the vacuumgauge. There is a aftermarket stereo that is a factory fit and is made to look like the stock one exceptthis one has Ipod hook up as well as a 6disc changer and AM/FM. The factory console is in great conditionfor original with do cracks or broken hinges and has a billet cup holder conversion instead of the worthless seatbelt holders and ash tray. All the glass is great condition as well as having a new windshield. All the tri, bumpers and grill are in good condition for there age. The rig has a tow package. Everything works as it shouldon this Blazer from the tach to the a/c to the interior lights, exterior lights, heater, windshield wipers ext. I have brand new sill panels for the rockers but had them off for the pics. The top is the double wall top. It is in great condition except for the rear hatch. It has two small cracks that can be easily fixed but the hatch still functions fine. I have thousands in receiptsfor this K5 including front and rear end, tranny, transfer case, tune up,fluid changes, tires ect. If you are looking for a clean and solid well optioned first generation K5 with nothing to hide this might be the rig for you!! I have tried my best to explain this 1972 Chevy K5 Blazer in detail. I have personallyowned quite a few of these K5's as well as other 67-72trucks,suburbans and blazers and this is one of the best examples of a non restored first generation Blazer that I have ever owned. It is alwaysstored in a dry heated shop and taken care of. For more info or pics please call 208-304-9288
I have a lot more pics with detail but ebay only lets me load 24 pics. Please message or call for more pics.
Please check my feedback and bid with confidence.
