The Chevelle made its debut with a range of options and body styles that turned in to instant success.
The rare Super Sport variants or SS represented Chevrolet's entry into the mucscle car battle and were offered in both the coupe and convertible body styles. Starting in mid-1964, the Chevelle could be ordered with the sought after 327 cubic inch engine in both a 250hp or 300hp version.
