1973 Chevrolet Nova 51k Original Miles Additional Info:
1973 Chevy Nova!!!
We bought this May 2nd 1988 from the original owner. It had sat in his garage for several years because he had gone blind and could no longer drive. We let our son drive it throughout high school. When he went away for college it sat in our barn for 16 years. We took it back out in 2011 and did all the stuff to get it running again, and it has been on the road since. We are getting older now and driving it less and less, so we decided it's time to let it go to someone who will really enjoy it. We love this car, and you will too. It's been very good to us and never let us down. It's mostly original, however, we had an automatic transmission installed so our son could drive it to school. The clutch pedal is still there so it could easily be converted back. It's a turbo 350 transmission with a shift kit and B&M shifter. The floors and frame are in excellent condition, and the body is straight. We had some things done recently to get it ready to sell including new spark plugs and wires, new HEI distributor and Pertronix ignition, new shocks, Moroso valve cover, brand new rocket "fuel" wheels and brand new BF Goodwrench tires. It starts right up and is ready to be enjoyed. The metallic blue paint looks great. There are some imperfections, of course, as it is a 50 yr old car. The typical bondo around the wheel wells. There is a very minor transmission leak and a tear on the driver's seat.
This car is so much fun to drive. Everyone honks and waves as you cruise down the street, and you can't stop for gas without someone coming up to talk with you about the car. Our family has gotten more than our share of joy from this car and we'd love to see another family do the same. We've added lot's of pictures and had a friend make the video to try to show as much of the car as we could. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or want any specific pictures, close ups etc. We've done our best to describe it accurately, and you're welcome to come see it in person and take it for a drive. This car has nothing to hide. It's not perfect, not a show car, just a good old fashioned reliable, cool classic car! Our friend who made the video has sold several classic cars on ebay and will help us with payment, shipping, etc. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Whoever gets this car is going to love it!
