1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 4 Door Additional Info:
I have a very nice car up for auction. An original 56 Bel Air with only 39,000 Miles. I purchased this car from an older gentleman who has owned it for the past sixteen years and who was meticulous with it's maintenance and very intent on keeping original. He only drove it the car to shows and an occasional Sunday drive.
It had a frame on restoration done in 1988 and still shows extremely well, only showing minimal paint flaws here and there. Not even close to needing a repaint. Mainly a few tiny paint chips on the front of hood and a few small blisters on top of front fender. All that was needed in the restoration was a fresh coat of paint and a fresh interior due to sitting in storage.
No body work was done as there was no rust. The undercarriage has not been touched, it is rust free throughout, solid frame, solid floor pans, solid trunk, no patches.
It's obvious when you drive the car that it only has 39,000 miles. It's handles wonderfully, the steering is tight with no play whatsoever, and there are no rattles or noises even on the roughest of roads. All four doors open and shut tight with no sagging.
No frills under the hood, just a bone stock engine bay with all it's original goodies still in place. The Original 265 4 barrel with factory power pack runs excellent, NO smoke. The original two speed power glide works perfectly. No messing around with this Chevy, just pump the gas once and she starts right up. The owner kept every receipt for maintenance done on the car for the past sixteen years and kept a journal on the car. I am including this with the car. Also included are vintage service manuals, a tune up kit, original owners manual, framed photo of car. (see Pics).
This a special car that gets lots of attention and compliments. She has many years left in her and will go to someone who appreciates a classic Chevy that has not been molested or modified like so many of these cars have fallen victim to. I can take detailed pictures of the minor paint flaws and the undercarriage upon request (reached maximum pictures on ebay). A very fortunate person will get this car. I would love to keep her but I don't have the storage room, she deserves a nice garage to stay in. I can deliver using my own car hauler for a reasonable price or you can use your own shipping company. Thank you.
