1993 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Silverado Additional Info:
I bought this truck from a local dealership this last spring. The truck was not in running condition. I replaced the ignition control module and alternator to get it running. Once I got it home these are the parts I replaced on it:
Driver side upper and lower ball jointDriver and passenger inner and outer tie rodsPitman armIdler arm assemblyDriver and passenger front brake rotors and padsDriver and passenger front brake linesAll four shocks
All parts replaced were new from NAPA. After all that work I had the local tire shop perform an alignment and they installed four new 245/75R16 Mastercraft Courser AXT tires at 211586 miles
I also installed a bluetooth stereo deck and replaced the front two speakers since they were blown. After that I had found that the driver front speaker was wired backwards and it blew again. I have not replaced it since.
The transfer case does leak some fluid and the motor slightly seeps but I think it burns more oil that leaks out. I have used this truck all summer to pull a utility trailer full of motorcycles. The truck already had a trailer break controller and it does work. The parking break does not work. It appears that there was a front end collision, possibly striking a deer at some point, causing the A/C condenser to become crushed. The front grill and headlights look brand new leading me to this conclusion. Needless to say the A/C does not work. I fixed some exhaust leaks from the manifolds to they Y pipe but I can still hear one, maybe coming from the passenger side manifold or still the Y pipe.
