JUST IN TIME TO TREAT YOURSELF FOR CHRISTMAS IS THIS 1962 CHEVROLET C10 1/2 TON SWB PICKUP TRUCK THAT WAS BOUGHT BRANDNEW IN THE MISSISSIPPI DELTA AND SPENT IT'S ENTIRE LIFE THERE UNTIL I RECENTLY BROUGHT IT HERE TO TENNESSEE, THIS TRUCK BELONGED TO A GENTLEMAN WHO SERVED 30 YEARS IN THE UNITED STATES ARMY AND HE MADE HIS FIRST PAYMENT ON THE TRUCK FROM A CHECK HE RECEIVED FROM UNCLE SAM THEREFORE IT BECAME KNOWN AS "OLD SAM" TO HIM AND HIS FAMILY, IT IS CLOSE TO BEING ALL ORIGINAL WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 1 AMATEUR REPAINT IN THE 70'S, THE FACTORY EXTERIOR COLOR CODE IS (500) WHICH IS "JET BLACK" AND VERY RARE, MAKES FOR A BEAUTIFUL TRUCK WITH A WHITE PAINTED ROOF, OTHER THAN THAT I WAS TOLD THE ONLY OTHER THINGS THAT ARE NOT FACTORY ORIGINAL IS THE FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS ALONG WITH THE WHEELS, HUBCAPS, BEAUTY RINGS AND THE "WIDE WHITE" COKER TIRES WHICH HAVE ABOUT 1800 MILES ON THEM, IT STILL RETAINS IT'S ORIGINAL HIGH TORQUE 235 CI ENGINE WITH ONLY 71,301 ACTUAL MILES AND A COLUMN SHIFTED 3 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, RUNS AND DRIVES FINE WITH NO SMOKE AND READY TO CRUISE TO ANY CARSHOW OR CRUISE IN, THIS TRUCK HAS REALLY BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF AS WELL AS GARAGE KEPT FOR MOST OF IT'S LIFE AND IT SHOWS WITH IT'S 98% RUSTFREE BODY, I HAVE OWNED MANY OF THESE TRUCKS AND THIS ONE BY FAR HAS THE MOST SOLID UNDERCARRIAGE OF ANY THAT I HAVE OWNED, THE FLOORS, CAB CORNERS, CAB MOUNTS, DOOR BOTTOMS, INNER AND OUTER ROCKERPANELS AND THE FRAME ARE VERY NICE AND SOLID, THESE 1962 MODEL SHORT BED TRUCKS ARE GETTING VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION, EVERYTHING WORKS ON IT FROM FRONT TO REAR WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND I HAVE THE CABLE TO FIX THAT WHICH GOES WITH THE TRUCK, 1 TAIL LIGHT WORKS INTERMITTENTLY AND I THINK THE BULB IS JUST A BIT LOOSE, ALL BULBS HAVE BEEN CHANGED TO LED BULBS AND LOOK GREAT AT NIGHT, ORIGINAL STEERING WHEEL AND SEAT ALONG WITH RADIO DELETE WITH THE "BOWTIE" PLATE STILL ATTACHED TO THE DASH, NEVER BUTCHERED ALL UP LIKE MANY YOU SEE, HEATER WORKS GREAT, BOTH DOORS ALONG WITH THE HOOD AND TAILGATE OPEN AND CLOSE WITH EASE, NO SAGGING DOORS WHATSOEVER, THE WOOD IN THE BED IS THE ORIGINAL AND SHOWING IT'S AGE, I DO HAVE SOME DRIED CYPRESS WOOD WHICH IS INCLUDED IF THE WINNING BIDDER CHOOSES TO WANT IT, OVERALL A VERY NICE TRUCK WELL WORTH WHAT MY RESERVE IS, NOT CLAIMING IT TO BE PERFECT AS IT'S NOW 55 YEARS OLD HOWEVER I AM NOT ASKING PERFECT MONEY FOR IT EITHER, THIS TRUCK SOARS TO OVER $50K HIGH NADA VALUE AS SHOWN BELOW AND PEOPLE WALK CIRCLES AROUND THIS TRUCK AT CARSHOWS ADMIRING IT JUST AS IT IS, THIS IS A FACTORY SHORT BED TRUCK NOT A CUT DOWN LONG BED (SEE 144 VIN#) RARE/HARD TO FIND TRUCK THAT WON'T LAST LONG, OVERALL A GREAT LITTLE TRUCK TO KEEP AS IS OR TAKE IT TO ANOTHER LEVEL HOWEVER YOU CHOOSE, BIDDERS WITH ZERO/NEGATIVE FEEDBACK MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING OR I WILL CANCEL YOUR BID/BIDS, PLEASE ONLY BID TO WIN IF YOU CAN PAY FOR THIS TRUCK, BANK WIRE TRANSFER PREFERRED FOR PAYMENT AS IT IS THE QUICKEST AND SAFEST METHOD OF PAYMENT FOR BOTH THE BUYER AND THE SELLER, IF WE DO NOT HEAR FROM THE WINNING BIDDER IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS THIS TRUCK WILL GO ELSEWHERE, POSSIBLE DELIVERY ON THE OPEN CAR CARRIER SEEN IN MY LAST PICTURE DEPENDING ON YOUR LOCATION, FEEL FREE TO CONTACT PAUL AT 901-219-9569 WITH ANY QUESTIONS, SOLD IN AS-IS CONDITION WITH A CLEAN CLEAR TITLE AND ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL, THANKS AGAIN FOR UNDERSTANDING AND LOOKING!
