1967 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:
Feast your eyes on this beautiful 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible finished in rally red over black interior. It retains its original, numbers matching drivetrain including 327ci 300hp V-8, 4speed Muncie transmission and rear end. The current and believed to be third owner has had this car for 11 years since 2005. The car was repainted red in 2006 at the same time the motor was gone thru and updated. The heads were redone with new valves, new lifters, rods, rockers and springs were also installed along with aluminum valve covers (the original steel set is also included). New exhaust was installed at this time as well as the knock off wheels and redline tires. The car is well sorted, runs strong and smooth with no issues. It runs a consistent 180 degrees thanks to the upgraded aluminum radiator and has been driven at least 500 miles since the rebuild. The original spare tire is still in the well but I do not have the original jack. This car has never been removed from the frame, never been in any accidents and has had no fiberglass repaired or replaced. All of the suspension parts, brakes and mechanicals have been maintained and upgraded over the years. The convertible top still looks brand new and spends most of its time tucked away. The interior sports the original dashboard and steering wheel as well as the standard black vinyl seats. All of the gauges are in good working order less the clock which is only right twice a day. This car runs and drives flawlessly. It drives straight with no pulling and stops on a dime. As you can see from the pictures, this car is a show stopper for the casual observer up to and including the seasoned collector. This car has been a long term part of a small but beautiful collection but life has a way of changing ones priorities. I have over 200 additional pictures available by email showing every areas of the car. Please request the link to the pictures if you have even a passing interest in this car as it is truly beautiful from top to bottom and front to back. I welcome your questions, inspections and appraisers and have a lift on site. Serious buyers may contact me by phone at 810.252.7308. Please leave a message if I do not answer and I will return your call. Please see below for all the important numbers and stampings. I have decoded them where possible but please do your own research to confirm and there are pictures of all in the group of 200 extra pictures. Please note this car was originally Elkhart Blue from the factory. VIN 194677S119908 (1=Chevrolet, 94=Corvette, 67=convertible, 7=1967, S=St Louis Missouri assembly plant, 119908=Production sequence) VINs ran from 100001 to 122941 with a total production of 22,940 of which 8,504 were hardtops and 14,436 were convertibles. Trim=standard black, Paint 980=Elkhart Blue, Front Engine Pad - V0523HE (HE codes to 327ci 300hp w/ manual trans) and 7119908 (VIN), Transmission 3885010, P7E22 (P=Muncie, 7=1967, E=May, 22=22nd day), Rear Axle AM52467 (AM=3.36:1 Posi w/ manual trans). The alternator, starter and carburetor are not original. The Holley 850 double pumper carburetor is an excellent addition. While this car is beautiful it is not brand new and some details will show some minor wear upon closer inspection. Please study all of the 200+ pictures and ask any questions you may have before the auction ends. The information and research here is to the best of my knowledge and is not guaranteed.
