1971 Chevrolet C-10 cheyenne Additional Info:

Up for bid is an original short wheel base 1971 Cheyenne truck. This truck is nicely loaded with 350 V8 (suffix code TDJ), TH350, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, positraction rear axle and factory roof marker lamps. I've been in the 67-72 model trucks for nearly 20 years and this is the only swb truck I've seen with marker lamps. This is a local 3 owner truck that's always been in north Alabama.Engine runs well and transmission shifts good. Just changed the oil in rear axle and it does still have the posi unit and 3.08 gears. Carburetor could use some work, but it will get by (cold natured and stutters under moderate to hard acceleration). Good power steering; brakes are soft, but it's driveable. Previous owner installed headers.Body is in average condition for this area - rust in rockers, bottom of cab corners, bottom side of doors and under battery. The bed floor is toast! I've got another bed floor I'll include in the sale. It's nowhere near perfect, but it's solid with no rust through. Rust hole in hood and dent in right fender. The cab is in pretty nice shape, besides rockers and corners. The cab supports are perfect and floor pans look decent. Firewall and outer roof are rust free. There are a few small stains in the inner visor area, but it's not rusted through (see pic). The truck does need quite a bit of body work or panel replacement, but she is a real nice platform to build a pretty rare and desirable truck. VIN, SPID (glovebox decal) and blue door decal all match. Early 1971 model built in Sept. of 1970. Since the "Super" option was not available until April of '71, this would be the top of the line truck - with a great color to boot! -OR- perfect for a patina shop truck.Alabama did not require titles until mid-70's. I will provide AL regristration in my name. Payment must be received with 7 days, I can hold it longer if needed. Please call for more information - I want to make sure all questions are answered.Joshua (256)246-1848
