1953 Chevy 3100 short bed pickup, fantastic original patina, very solid Midwest truck, same owner since 1962.
I do have a clean title
This truck would make an excellent patina rod, the original hood is gone and there is a BRAND NEW DYNACORN hood in the box that is included.
Truck is very solid and MOSTLY straight, there is a few dents in the fenders that can be easily worked out, the previous owner put a layer of body filler in the dents of the fenders in two spots but the filler peals out by hand and the metal behind is good and can be straightened easily with a hammer and dolly. the fenders are very solid, mostly rust free. no running boards, I do have the running board/ box filler pieces.
The bed is pretty solid, there is a little rust in the front bed support, rear support is solid. Bed sides are solid and straight.
The cab floor and inner pillar metal will need to be replaced
The drivers door is very solid, the passenger door bottom has a little rust on the inner sheet metal, outer metal is solid
Inner rocker arms are solid
Passenger cab corner has a little rust on the very bottom, could be patched without disturbing the patina.
No glass
There is a new DYNACORN hood and all new door latches and handles that are included, still in the box.
The original motor is in tact, condition is UNKNOWN, I have not tried to turn it over.
I was going to put this body on a S10 chassis and put a 2013 Cadillac ATS 2.5L engine and transmission with a turbo in it but have decided to sell to finish another project.
I would sell the engine and transmission if anyone is interested, it is a 2.5L from a wrecked 2013 Cadillac ATS with a 6L80 transmission, all wiring and accessories are included, engine is still in the front cradle of the wrecked Cadillac. 1300 miles on the engine, yes, that is 1300 miles... This is an aluminum 4 cylinder engine that has a forged steel crankshaft and with the addition of a big turbo this would be a sweet and unique light weight power plant in this truck. There was a Model A roadster at SEMA this year that had the same engine with a turbo in it... I added a picture of the engine in the listing, its a little dusty from being in storage. Engine is NOT included in this auction but is available for sale to the winning bidder for an additional cost (negotiable)
