I've been collecting Corvettes for over 35 years. I'm downsizing my collection. This 1973 matching numbers Big Block coupe is a low mileage survivor if you discount the repaint done in 1988 and 1992. I know these dates because the car come with a hugebox of receipts. I was able to assemble a spreadsheet showing previous owners all the way back to 1977. ( I can email you this spreadsheet). The spreadsheet was based on VA and NC inspection receipts, DMV receipts, car repairs (about $17K worth over those years)etc. I show five previous owners, not including the original owner or myself. All the documents prove it was a VA and NC car all those years. I bought it in 2014 and put it immediately into storage.
About the car, its numbers matching, pictures attached. The mileage is correct, 75073. Again, the DMV receipts prove it. It even has the original riveted ball joints. Not many options, 4 speed, PB, PS. Paint is showing its age. Some paint crazing but very little signs of stress cracks. Panels line up well with the exception of front right fender, likely being the repair work in 1988. No rot anywhere! The windshield pillars are clean, the radiator support is clean, the frame rails are clean, the trailing arms are clean, etc.
Repair history : I recently added the new fiberglass front bumper. Not perfect fitment, but will do for now. The previous owner, starting in 2007, replaced many of the typical wearing parts : leather seats, seat foam, new pedals, hoses, air cleaner lid, carpet, seat belts, hood release cable, radio, shifter console, parking brake console, clutch, wheel bearings, mirror, vacuum hose kit, windshield washer pump, headlight relay, alternator, fuel pump, door pulls, three of the four calipers, proportioning valve. Tires currently have 9/32" tread depth.
The chrome is original. Also the door panels are original. Those will need replacement if you are restoring the car. The engine fires right up. No issues. Steering column has some play. All gauges except clock work. One picture shows the four cases of spare parts, some original, some used and some new.
Iencourageyou to inspect the car before you bid. I'm located near Buffalo NY. Serious cash buyers can call me with questions...716-572-6491.I reserve the right to cancel this listing at any time. The car is being sold "as is" and where is. No warranties.
