his beautiful example of a 1969 CamaroConvertibleSouthern California Car has been restored to itsoriginalcondition and is better than new having beencompletelyrestored as an SS version of the 69 CamaroConvertible.
The Body, Interior,Drivetrain, Transmission and Rosewood Interior accents are all restored original parts except for SS accents, Engine and upgrades such as the full gauge package on the floor console.
This caroriginallywas purchased new in Southern California and was purchased in San Diego in 2013 and shipped here to KC. It wasoriginallyfound in the estate of a man in LA in 2011and was one of 60 cars in theestate. Of the 60 cars the individual buyer from which I purchased the car managed to purchase two cars this Camaro being one of them. The widow of the estate had no information on the car other than he had had it fully restored and wanted it restored as an SS Tribute to be a drivers and show car.The car has been garaged and covered since being brought to KC and has never seen inclement weather of any type.
This fine version of the classic 69Convertiblewas restored to be driven with the 454 Chevy Sport Engine she has plenty of power to burn and can be shown in the "Tribute Class"if you so desire; it certainly is show quality from top to bottom, including the undercarriage as you can see in the pictures. She drives as elegantly as she looks and is a head turner no matter where you go people always stop for a second look.Just over 15000 convertibles built in 69,Only 6500 had tilt wheels,Power top 9600 built,AM/FM Pushbutton Radio 6200,Power steering & Brakes 7500.
Turbo Hydramatic Transmission. Add that together it's rare in its own right.
The car was originally produced with a v-6, only v-8 cars had the gauge pkg in the floor console. This car is incredibly well done as a Tribute car in the restoration process from a detail standpoint. Even the paint is custom in that the striping is old school, painted on, rather than tape.
